  9. 5.0 Courtyard Theater (1 review)
    - Love this charming theater for a concert
    Spent 1-2 hours Theaters
I just visited the Courtyard Theater for a concert featuring Pam Tillis as part of their Texas Music Series. Pam Tillis exceeded my expectations as did their venue. The theater is just off of 15th street in old downtown Plano. It is a small, intimate venue, having about 300 seats. The way the seats are arranged gives every member of the audience a great view. I especially like the way they have arranged the seats on the two sides with each row there elevated and two seats across. The seats themselves were very comfortable with rows a bit wider than is typical. Parking is very accessible. There are lots of places for dinner an easy walk away. and we just loved the intimate feel of seeing a show there. They have some really good looking artists coming up. This was a fun night. During intermissions and before the show Urban Crust, one of sponsors, run a bar with well priced drinks. That likewise is a nice touch. Tips: We sat in the middle of row G and had great seats. I did not go up into the balcony but those seats looked good as well. You can easily park at the theater and walk to eat at restaurants on 15th or 14th. Hospitality Factor: Great. The gentleman introducing the acts made you feel like you were in his home. Ushers were friendly and helpful. See more..

    Spent 2-3 hours Shopping Malls
The Shops at Willow Bend image
Very friendly and clean mall, and the Renovation Hardware showcase store was incredible. Macy's is our favorite department store, and we were excited they had a location here. However, the Macy's had so few employees on the floor we walked across the entire floor looking for someone to pay for an item, and the inventory was sparse. We hope Macy's will support this store the way they support the Galleria and Stonebriar sister stores to it can be an equally enjoyable experience. See more..

We brought two little girls for a couple of hours and paid about $50. It is a big place where kids can run around safely. Drinks are about $2 and they offer a vending machine. There is nothing else to eat there, though. And for adults there is nothing to do at all, while waiting for your kids to play. The staff are not friendly at all. See more..
  26. 3.5 Calvary Chapel (5 reviews)
    - Best Church ever! God's word being taught verse by verse.
    Churches & Cathedrals
    Calvary Chapel image
Calvary Chapel Plano has been my family's home church for over 14 years. We love it so much that we drive 45+ minutes each way every Sunday. There is no better church around that will take the word of God and teach it verse by verse. And then go into detail and depth of the verse being taught to give us better understanding. There are also a lot of ministries that you can get involved in, like the men's ministry, women's ministry, couple's ministry, youth ministry, book clubs, movie nights, hallelujah night, and so much more! There is truly something for everyone! And the people there, from the moment we walked through the front door, were so welcoming and poured out so much love on us that we instantly felt right at home. See more..
