    Swimming Adventure!
Pay the per person fee at the gate, use the spacious changing rooms, and go swim! The bathroom/changing area has at least 4 showers, changing stalls, and a normal bathroom area. Bring your own towels. We only saw small fish and no turtles. We did not snorkel, but you can. The pool ranges from 20 feet deep with a tall diving board at one end all the way to 3 feet at the other end. The pool is HUGE and a bit chilly - but refreshing. There were also low diving/jumping boards throughout. You could easily spend the day here swimming, sunning, and having a picnic.

    Balmorhea spring fed pool
Only the pool was open, the rest of the park was closed for reconstruction. I had wanted to go here, to the natural spring fed pool for years. So glad I got to go and take two grandchildren there. Take goggles. We used goggles and snorkeled. There are lots of little fish, some black catfish, and a couple of turtles. It's neat to see the surface of the bottom of the pool. The water is ice cold.
