Convenient to downtown Dripping Springs
My husband and I went to the Veterans Memorial Park in Dripping Springs on a Saturday afternoon. It is a small park, less than 1 acre in size. The park is located along US-290 and in the center of town. There are some picnic tables and benches. We spent about 5 minutes walking around the Memorial Park.

An "event" place for military activities
This area has a decent sign to let you know you are in the Hill Country. There is a little space for an event, but it is on US 290 and there is no screenage or noise barrier. The place needs some "sprucing up" to make it a better venue for honoring our veterans and military recognition events. Every Wednesday, the area is turned into a Farmer's Market--reasonably well attended.

It was hidden in plain sight
When the navigation said we had arrived, we didn't see it. We drove around a bit and finally figured it out. Not much there. We were touched by the wall of names.
