Warren Park, Texas, United States

Honoring U.S. Ambassador Fletcher Warren

This is a nice, small park. It is named for Ambassador Warren, who served as he United States Ambassador to Nicaragua, Paraguay, Venezuela and Turkey. Warren retired to Greenville, Texas in 1960. The park's center piece is a beautiful piece of playground equipment with slides, ladders, climbing areas, etc. There is also a new swing set. The park also has a small covered pavilion with several picnic tables. There is a baseball backstop and plenty of room to catch, run, and play football or soccer, but there are not set up athletic fields. There is plenty of parking for a park this size. There is also a stone monument outlining Ambassador Warren's accomplishments. It is a great place to picnic on a pretty day.

Killing time for hotel room to get teady
We booked at the holiday inn- room wasn't ready , so we went to this park to kill some time. Not much here at all- had a little bit of history, 1 bench, 1 small pavilion, and 1 small area of play equipment.
