Not a studio

Drove up to this place expecting to view some local art. Upon arrival we were greeted by who we presumed was the owner. She started talking incessantly with no breaks, with multiple stories all woven together with an obvious drug induced connection. Paintings, sculptures and jewelry was there to view but within an obstacle course of trash and garbage stacked everywhere. From the moment we realized the hoarder environment we worked diligently to depart, only to be bombarded with endless jibberish that continued even as we drove away. Terlingua in general has some weird components but this place is beyond the pale.

    Avoid.
We had high hopes, but immediately noticed the accumulation of trash outside as we approached the entrance. A woman that seemed to be the owner greeted us, but her behavior was “not right” to say the least. The interior of the “gallery” was probably very interesting in a different time, but hoarding and refuse have taken over.

    Odd...
Not sure what has changed, but this place looked like a hoarder’s paradise... bags of trash littered the entrance, flies, and empty bottles and cans blocked the pathway and was scattered throughout the canyon. There was a painted wooden sign saying “Open” sitting outside a painted plywood door, and when my husband entered, the place was filled to the brim with art, more trash, and flies. There were no signs of life. Not sure if mental illness, drugs, or squatters took over. It was just a very odd experience and we left immediately! Seriously considering making a welfare call to the property!
