Spent 1-2 hours Scenic Walking Areas
This is a fantastic coastal walk. We had a beautiful summer's day, nice breeze and clear skies, and in these conditions I think it was as spectacular as any other coastal walking trail in the country, with commanding views of the city, the beaches below and the ocean. It is a not a long or demanding walk. It was not the right time of year for whale watching when we visited, but we were told it can be an excellent spot for that activity as well. See more..

- 4.5 The Rocks (8.941 reviews)
-One of my favourite walks in Sydney
Spent 2-3 hours Neighborhoods • Historic Walking Areas
I like to start at Wynyard and walk along York Street to St Phillips Church (the oldest Anglican Church in Sydney built in 1793). Turn left at the church and move into Clarence Street. Follow Clarence Street down to The Hero of Waterloo pub. Turn right towards The Garrison church (Built 1840). Go down through the Argyle Cut to The famous Rocks area. This historical part of Sydney has some very interesting buildings and shops. There are markets every weekend selling a huge variety of things. There’s a great vibe just walking around. I usually continue my walk on to the Museum of Contemporary Art. There are always several exhibitions on, some have an extra charge but some are free. The shop has a wonderful selection of Australian Souvenirs. Circular Quay is always lively and buzzing with people and buskers. From here I usually catch the train or walk up George Street back to Wynyard. See more..
