We always enjoy our experience with the Cat Balou crew. They are are so professional and knowledgeable of the area. Also true to their word because we didn’t see any whales despite going a long way out to sea we were refunded 50% of our money. We will certainly cruise with them next year as we do on a yearly basis. We can’t praise them enoughSee more..

This trip was amazing! Great boat and it was really easy to hook on and get towed while watching wild dolphins came around you. We had 3 turns in the water. Amazing helpful young crew and they were very knowledgeable and safety conscious. Great brunch as well, and we got the fantastic pics. Professional video of the swim is included in the price! Our 8 yr old granddaughter came with us and was able to participate with the swim and really enjoyed the day.See more..
5.0Tweed Escapes(331 reviews) - Pontoon Boat Hire Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Boat Tours • Boat Rentals
We hired a Pontoon for the afternoon and it was great. Plenty of room for our party of 7 and easy to steer the boat. Toilet and Esky on board as well as the BBQ. Michael & his staff were very friendly, helpful and flexible as we wanted to start later and bring the boat back later than the advertised time which was no problem for them. If you want to swim I would advise bringing the boat close to the shore as the current is very fast and my husband was nearly swept away! Entirely his fault for not listening to the instructions properly. I highly recommend this as a great way to spend an afternoon with a group of friends or family. It was lovely having a few drinks and snacks moored in a quiet spot looking onto Mount Warning as the sun was getting lower in the sky.See more..
4.5Tweed Eco Cruises(275 reviews) - Relaxing and magical Sunset Tour on the Tweed River! Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Boat Tours • Eco Tours • Fishing Charters & Tours • Boat Rentals
My husband and I went on the “Picnic Afloat” Sunset tour with 8 other people. It was an experience we will remember for all the right reasons. The staff from Tweed Eco Cruises made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped on the boat and everything was very well organised. Great decor, delicious food, and perfectly chilled complimentary bubbles sitting in ice waiting for us. We were lucky with the weather as it was a sunny day with light winds so cruising along the river with music playing in the background was a delight! The colours on the river at sunset with Mt Warning in the background was magical. All our friends are still talking about the great experience they had on the cruise and can’t wait until they do another one. Such a relaxing, fun thing to do! I highly recommend it.See more..
My family from Melbourne enjoyed a fantastic day floating amongst the humpback whales. Mums n babies were putting on spectacular shows, breaching and tale slapping in full view. Friendly, informative Glen and Laura ensure a day of safety and fun for all. On both of my whale watching adventures I have come away feeling elated . I’ll be back every year See more..
5.0CoastXP(223 reviews) - Deep blue mystery Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Boat Tours • Dolphin & Whale Watching • Nature & Wildlife Tours
Dom was wonderful, taking us right to the Whale Expressway to witness the majestically beautiful mammals playfully pass & play whilst they migrated north. The placid-playful nature of these magnificent creatures was awe inspiring. ‘ATMOS’ is a first class vessel with lots of comfort and kept us feeling safe the entire tour.See more..
No trip to Forster is complete without getting out onto the water. The 2.1/2 hour cruise is the most economical to view the Lake, the ships Captain Peter has been doing these cruises for 27 years, and clearly loves showing people the lake, educating guests about oyster growing, the 94 fish varieties found in the lake, the local inhabitants, history and geographical landmarks whilst leaving plenty of time for quiet reflection on the purity of the water and the natural beauty. Then there's lunch made with all fresh ingredients, a delicious salad dressing and fresh damper, followed by cake, tea and coffee....filling and nutritious. Beer, wine juice, water all available from the bar. Covid rules adhered to ....here's somewhere you can take the whole family and relax. Wheelchairs are fully accommodated and welcome, hubby had a wonderful cruise and as a result the family wants to thank Peter for all it takes behind the scenes to provide this experience.See more..
From the very first phone enquiry with Lorraine we very impressed with the service and personal attention that was given. On the day both the skipper and first mate were friendly and knowledgeable. They catered to all our needs and went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure we had a wonderful few hours. The boat was well equipped, comfortable and it was a smooth cruise up the river enjoying the beautiful scenery and the peace and tranquility. With 2 small children on board it was refreshing to see how accomodating the crew were to ensure their safety and keep them interested and occupied. Thank you all so much. It was truly a memorable event for all our family.See more..
4.5Catch a Crab(174 reviews) - Best morning out for the family I can imagine! Tuesday: Boat Tours • Eco Tours • Food Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
A perfect day! We fed pelicans, went fishing, learnt about oyster farming and crabs, pulled up crab nets and went yabby pumping. Even in the rain it was fantastic fun! The boat is lovely and it is an easy trip around the estuary. We finished with lunch at the restaurant, I had the best mud chilli crab I have ever had, and I lived in Singapore! So much meat! Everyone on the boat was so lovely too! The kids had fish and chips, they are fish bites which was a little odd and the kids didn't like that, so I would probably had preferred to buy adult fish and chips and divide them for the kids. Make sure you prebook the restaurant and food you want before the trip. See more..
An excellent, informative and enjoyable tour learning about the life cycle and farming of oysters. Scott our tour guide was lots of fun and very energetic, had endless knowledge and answers to every question asked by the group. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area and wanting to learn about oysters. Beautiful scenery, great to taste freshly shucked oysters on the water and also be shown the technique of how to best shuck oysters which we have used since when buying unopened oysters. Also good value for money.See more..
4.5Clarence River Ferries(120 reviews) - Spend a Relaxing Wednesday on the Mighty Clarence River Boat Tours • Ferries
Every Wednesday at 11am this wonderful cruise heads off from Yamba Ferry wharf. We boarded the immaculate ferry and watched the skipper skilfully navigate the sandbars as he crossed the river to Iluka to drop off/pickup passengers. He then commenced a fascinating history of the unique aspects of the Clarence Valley, highlighting sights and birdlife along the way. When we got to the steam driven 130 yr old Grafton Sugar Mill he turned under the brand new bridge and we headed back. We all admired dear Scotty who did the ropes, collected the fares, and ran around all day serving piping hot cups of tea/coffee and pies to all the oldies on board. He was marvellous. After a short stop at Iluka we returned to Yamba at 3.30pm. We highly recommend this wonderful outing if you happen to visit Yamba on a Wednesday.See more..
5.0Forster's Boat Shed Number 1(97 reviews) - Perfect for a sunny day! Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Boat Tours • Water Sports • Boat Rentals • Stand Up Paddleboarding • Kayaking & Canoeing
A mate and I hired 2 paddle boards for a hour to go around the island and have some exercise/time outside during lockdown. Rob was super professional, friendly and made us feel welcome. He got us fitted with some good size and easy to use boards, got us into the water, and gave us the ins and outs as well as where we could ride. Overall, such great value for money and excellent customer service. Would recommend and will be back!!See more..
4.5Dunbogan Boatshed(85 reviews) - Exceptional snacks, drink and atmosphere Tuesday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Boat Tours
The Dunbogan Boatshed Cafe is a hidden gem in the sleepy town of Dunbogan by the river. It is very relaxing sipping on coffee and a snack while watching the life on the river and boats passing by. Be warned though, seating is limited and only outside and can fill up very quickly on weekends - probably best to visit on a quite weekday. This place is very popular and good reason to be so. One of the tables has a little kiddies slide going into the shallow clear water of the river, which looks like a lot of fun for a 5-10 year old.See more..
4.5Bourke Shire Council(67 reviews) - Cruising on the Darling Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM, 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM Boat Tours
I have waited 8 years for this cruise-in 2012 the river was in flood & subsequent years the water level was too low. River level great after rain this year. Wonderful to pass under the bridges. Captain Allan was very informative about the history of the river boats transporting wool to the Port of Adelaide before the railway arrived in Bourke. I recommend sitting on the top deck to listen closely - some people went outside, or stayed downstairs. Good views of birdlife. Wonderful to see water in the river again. Adam checked us on the boat in a COVID19 safe manner, & checked us off again too. Thank you crew!See more..
4.0Starship Cruises(50 reviews) - Cruise on Brisbane Water Boat Tours
We arrived at the Gosford Harbour to alight on the HM Lady Kendall 11. She is the last of the mini liners, being 106 ft long, there are two decks for patrons, padded seating below, a bar and a very entertaining commentary by the captain. Brisbane Water is 18 km long, running south out of Broken Bay and has a catchment of 165 sq km. Named after the then Governor of NSW in 1825, Sir Thomas Brisbane. It is surrounded by homes on the water, resorts, parks, small beaches and bird life. It was enjoyable and relaxing 3 hour cruise and lunch was fresh fish and chips acquired by berthing nearby and someone collecting it for us all to enjoy on board. This was a booking for 35 seniors.See more..
Exceptional, outstanding, friendly, informative, helpful. The team at Berger Houseboats epitomise all of these qualities. From our initial contact to final farewell the Berger Houseboat gang were brilliant. Our houseboat (Paradise II) was spotlessly clean, well appointed and comfortable. If your going house-boating, this is the company to go with.See more..
Mark and his wife do an excellent job firstly booking you in with ease on the charter you would like. Mark gets his boat on the reef quickly and sets up a great morning of fishing. All his tackle is in good condition and plenty of fish are caught by everyone. Hot drinks and snacks party pies and sausage rolls are served during the morning. His knowledge of the reefs and also the landmarks and history of eden is great. If your after a great non crowed fishing charter/whale watching experience I would highly recommend freedom charters. This was our second trip with them but definitely not our last.See more..
Having a perfect day helps, but Fiona is full of interesting historical information but not too talkative either! We had a great time seeing fishermen catch one of the biggest flatheads we've ever seen, seeing and feeding the sea eagles and pelicans. Fiona even made them dance at the jetty! The boat was very clean and comfortable and as a 'friend group' there was plenty of room to move around and chat.Overall, an excellent way to spend a morning. Thank you.See more..
The experience is super exciting for me, I am living in Menindee as pharmacist since June 2021 and I live in sunset strip so I can see Menindee lake everyday. In the beginning my expectations was super law as I am already seeing the lake everyday from my house windows and here the sunrise came. I have received a text message organised with detailed instructions from Deborah and day before she confirmed the day. The tour itself can be good for rest, meditation, enjoy nature and lakes. I was surprised and Rob was so clever to giver nice instructions for tress names and some history. On the same day I have booked it again next week. Thanks for Deb and Rob. See more..
I have been diving with this operator for the last six years - with good reason! Pete (the owner) offers a completely professional service, but also makes you feel part of the family. I bring groups to dive with Pete, and we have an outstanding experience each time. We plan our dives knowing that Pete will get us to the site, and if he can't, no one can! Surface interval we are treated with hot towels to clean our salty faces, and warm up a bit, and more food than you can poke a stick at.See more..
Right from the start everybody was friendly and helpful.Even though it rained the whole week ( inside was dry ) we motored around the lake , anchored overnight, played lots of cards, ate , drank ( in moderation of course ). 1 night we even moored to a buoy ( first for us ). When we had questions about our outing , we were cordially treated by our contact Dallas and solved any concerns we novices had. All in all it was a very pleasant holiday for my wife and I , as well as my sister and her husband from Townsville as well as my sister from Newcastle. We highly recommend this experience and this company Gerry & Trish V BSee more..
We caught the ferry from Davistown wharf to Woy Woy. Lovely calm waters, spacious boat with wonderful views all around. Helpful and chatty captain which added to the fun. Plenty of free parking in Davistown if you park in the side streets. A really great way to get around and see the central coast from the water. Totally recommend Central Coast Ferries...on time too!See more..
Scott is a professional skipper who ensures his trips are well planned & his clients are taken care of. Husband & son went on a 3 hour trip where Scott shared his fishing tips & all gear was set up ready to go making the most of everyone's time. Safety was also ensured throughout the trip. Enjoyed it so much they did another 5 hour trip a week later & caught numerous different fish, some to keep, some put back. I highly recommend Fishpen Charters, we were really happy with the ease of booking, Scott's friendly manner & the way the trips are run. Have also hired SUP boards & kayaks from Fishpen over the last few years as they are well priced, easy to arrange & always met with friendly relaxed service. Great little local business that deserves the support they receive.See more..
5.0Sydney Oyster Farm Tours(11 reviews) - Oyster shucking IN the Hawkesbury River Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Boat Tours • Eco Tours • Private Tours • Food Tours
Three of us spent Sunday afternoon in the Hawkesbury River during the Immerse Yourself oyster-shucking experience. The wonderful Sheridan took us to her oyster leases and explained oyster farming before we donned waders and started shucking our own oysters and prawns. We sipped on French champagne as the water lapped around our legs and ate an extremely generous mound of wonderful oysters, which we sprinkled with Sheridan’s spectacular elderberry vinaigrette. Sheridan and her team offered us an amazing afternoon, and an unforgettable experience. Thank you!See more..
5.0Reel Ocean Adventures(9 reviews) - Best deep sea fishing charter in town! Boat Tours • Dolphin & Whale Watching
Best deep sea fishing charter in town! Noel and Phil are local fishing legends, not only did they know all the good spots, but they are the nicest guys you could come across. They went above and beyond to make your day enjoyable. Everyone caught so many fish and they even scaled and cleaned them for you to take home. The boat was new and handled chop well. I felt safe being onboard, especially having two very experienced skippers. The whole day was fantastic, there were Dolphins jumping right out of the water and plenty of fish. Thanks Noel and Phil for a great day! We'll be booking again. See more..

What a wonderful morning spent with Matt from South West Rocks Estuary Charters exploring the waterways of the Macleay River. The weather was perfect and the scenery was glorious. Great commentary on the local area while we made away around the inlets. A cheeky Brahminy Kite followed the boat until Matt throw some fish to her while she showed us her ‘fishing skills’. To top of the morning just as we heading back to shore we spotted a pair of dolphins. Thanks Matt for a great tour. See more..
