We went on the sunrise beach ride and I have to say, it was one of the most wonderful experiences I’ve had although we were fortunate enough to have a small group of similar abilities and the most picture perfect sunrise! Zephyr itself is a really nice organisation (and I’ve tried most around the area). The horses are happy and well looked after, the guides are lovely and the scenery is beautiful. The sunrise beach to forest rides seem a bit pricey but are really worth it. They also take loads of photos to give you at the end which is a cute touch and very much appreciated!See more..

Our horses were disciplined and lovely natured, and well matched to our 8 riders. Our guides Shemaiah and Tom most helpful. Amazing aussie bush scenery, The 6-hour ride was perfect, more a guided trek than individual rides. My horse Jet was happy and eager to have a trot bringing up the rear. I would prefer that the group break into 2 so the more comfortable riders could have a run in the open ground, but perhaps that's for another day. For accommodation, our 2br cottage was perfect for our group of 4, modern and well-equipped, and hosts Delia and Justin most obliging. Suggest a 3-night stay, and on your other day make the trek to Mt Kosciuszko summit from the top of the Kosi Chair at Thredbo. Also if you have not ridden before, take a test drive and receive basic horse handling and comfort before your stay, so you are not overwhelmed.See more..

This was a great introduction to horse riding, with a one hour trail ride. There were many guides with us, making sure the horses behaved themselves, which settled the nerves of the first time riders. The horses were well behaved and we were given a great introductory lesson beforehand to ensure we were comfortable with guiding our horses. While they didn't recommend taking a camera on the ride, as your hands should be focused on holding the reigns, they made sure they brought out our camera at the end to get a family photo. After backpacking out to John Wades farm, at Garawilla, I have returned three other times with family and friends all with a wonderful experiences. Friendly fun atmosphere and good home cooked food, along with sunset rides, river rides, mustering horses and cattle, working with young and unbroken horses it's an experience not to be missed. Whether you are a novice or experienced rider it's the perfect opportunity to get out and taste the jackaroo jillaroo way. I have just returned from a 3 day 4 night trek with Snowy River Horseback Riding adventure and cannot wait to go again. The hosts Glenn and Danielle were great and matched my riding ability perfectly to my horse. Great ride with lots of beautiful scenery, wildlife which also included sighting some brumbies. The food was plentiful and very satisfying. The days riding was usually between 6-7 hours riding and it was great to be able to come back to a modern comfortable homestead each night with great 3 course dinners and the option of a a nice warm spa to finish off the day. Congratulations to Glenn and Danielle for creating such a wonderful experience.See more..
