Our snorkel guide Cass was very friendly and great at finding turtles, we saw a lot! One was very big and a couple swam very close to us when surfacing to take a breath. They are so beautiful ❤ Bonus was a couple of batfish that hang around the mooring line, I was equally excited to see them Our skipper Chris was very funny and he's very skilled navigating the boat through the sandbar, which is quite an experience in itself! Due to bad weather condition we had to reschedule our trip 3 times but the staff was very helpful in trying to find suitable time. We're glad we get to do it before leaving Gold Coast, it's worth the wait!See more..
Phil was great in accommodating my needs as a deaf person. He agreed to meet me earlier than usual so that we could set up communication strategies as I took my hearing aid off for the kayak trip. The sunset trip was great with the group with changes of scenery & terrain from ruffled waters to stark still waters mirroring the sunset. Phil was able to point out the various birds of prey, grey herons & the prawn/shrimping vessels setting off at dusk, & took videos of us & shared with us at no extra cost and to cap it all, we saw 5 grey kangaroos with a joey in one of the pouches as we landed! Ok no dolphins on this occasion but we got kangaroos! Excellent! Mega thanks Phil! From the very first phone enquiry with Lorraine we very impressed with the service and personal attention that was given. On the day both the skipper and first mate were friendly and knowledgeable. They catered to all our needs and went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure we had a wonderful few hours. The boat was well equipped, comfortable and it was a smooth cruise up the river enjoying the beautiful scenery and the peace and tranquility. With 2 small children on board it was refreshing to see how accomodating the crew were to ensure their safety and keep them interested and occupied. Thank you all so much. Our two boys had their first surf lesson with Joe this morning. Joe was very friendly and took great care of the boys (11 & 13) they really enjoyed it and were up on their boards, surfing! Our family and friends family went on a sunset family kayak tour with Matt today and it exceeded all expectations. Matt is not only a knowledgeable tour guide but also a super team leader! He’s very familiar with local natures and creatures and every stop there were fun facts and activities (won’t tell you here to keep as a surprise, hahaha). My family and I hired 3 double kayaks and 1 single kayak for 2 hours. It was a great experience and super easy to organise last minute. James gave us a thorough introduction talk at the beginning, letting us know where to go, which way the current was flowing and spots to check out while kayaking. It was a lovely spot for kayaking and 2 hours was the perfect amount of time for us.See more..
What a wonderful morning on the water with Jen! The first sign that we were going to be well looked after came when Jen called the day before we were to paddle to suggest delaying a day if possible based on the weather forecast. It turned out to be fantastic advice as we went a day later and enjoyed the most sublime weather. Jen was a lovely guide and provided interesting facts about the flora and fauna as well as an update on the recovery of the area following the bushfires. The kayaking equipment was excellent and Jen made novice paddlers feel very comfortable on the water. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the area. See more..
Do your self a favour, this is the best way to see the Murray River. I have previously used Murray River Canoe Hire a few years ago when I was in Albury working and since then wanted to take my wife on the same wonderful trip. As always Dave gave good advice and we set off in his bus up the river to the starting point (Water Works). The river was high but not difficult to handle. Plenty of wild life in the water and on the banks as we meandered down the river back down to Albury. We are in our 60's and the canoes were comfortable for the 2.5 hour paddle. Dave is the longest running and original Murray River Canoe Hire and it was a pleasure to deal with him again.See more..

Such a fabulous experience paddling around the Myall Lakes Tea Gardens with Darren. My husband and I really enjoyed this trip. The double kayak was very comfortable and ‘top of the range’ with backrests and plenty of room. Extremely stable too. Darren has an extremely relaxed and helpful manner.. with great attention to safety and was extremely knowledgeable about this area... in terms of history and also water and weather conditions. A mate and I hired 2 paddle boards for a hour to go around the island and have some exercise/time outside during lockdown. Rob was super professional, friendly and made us feel welcome. He got us fitted with some good size and easy to use boards, got us into the water, and gave us the ins and outs as well as where we could ride. Daniel was a patient guide, he explained to us novices the technique and kept up the positive reinforcement. We were lucky enough to see the cattle crossing for milking. A swim was a welcome break then on to the delightful scenery. Daniel was able to include some fun facts along the way. We booked 90mins, so we could try all water fun craft if we wanted to ... and we did. So we had time on the paddle boards, the kayaks and the pedal boats. We called ahead and asked if we could have our dog with us - they said yes. Our dog was fantastic in both the kayaks and on the stand up paddle boards. It was one of the highlights of our trip up to the Central Coast during the October school holidays. THE BEST part of the experience was the staff. It was the Monday Labour Day public holiday and they were SO BUSY, but the staff remained calm, unfazed and handled the huge demand brilliantly. We had a break between sessions, and enjoyed a picnic on the grass between 'rides'. Be calm and patient, and you will be looked after.See more..

Our white water rafting trip with Exodus was excellent. A great day out on the river, I'd recommend the Platypus Flats to Cod Hole trip for anyone looking for a bit of adventure. The rapids start out nice and easy to build up your confidence, which the guides do a great job of, and then you get to have some fun through some bigger, more adventurous ones! The guides ensure you have a fun time, with some great stories of the river and a good laugh, and made me feel as though I was actually rafting properly (though I'm sure they did all the real work...) We had our three children booked in with Coastlife Adventures to participate in the SurfGoms program at Tathra in early January 2021. Unfortunately, due to the sudden closure of the Victoria/NSW border, we had to cut our holiday short and subsequently had to cancel our lessons. Coastlife were very undertstanding and provided us with a FULL refund, despite their policy stating that we would only get a 50% refund. What a generous act! I took my daughter an young grandchildren for a paddleboat on the lake and Big Trev was amazing accomodating and helpful. He engaged well with the kids and involved them whenever he could. Lifejackets were included for the little ones too. I believe there are turtles that feed on the seaweed and dolphins that play in the harbour...but unfortunately we didn't see them on our visit. Trev also entertained the kids with a magic trick and showed them how to call and feed the fish. We had a great day, made even better by his generosity and kindness....and the Dad jokes!See more..

What a great day! Thanks to the lovey lady who allowed us to pay, sign in and do all the paperwork and then get 2 families organised with supplies, sunscreen etc before our timed hour actually started. The young guys were great fitting us out in life jackets and helping all of us into single and double kayaks - which meant the younger kids started paddling with confidence as soon as we hit the water. Navigating the sand banks, watching the fish, and stopping for a swim towards the beach made for a fun time on the water. We were a little late back - but no additional charge which topped off an awesome first time at The Entrance Boat Shed. We’ll be back!See more..

We booked a Kayaking tour around 8:30pm and were off Kayaking Inverall Lake the next morning at 7:25am My wife and I loved the Kayaking paddle and would definitely recommend it to anyone. Highly recommend this experience, we had the whole dam to ourselves with the birds and goannas. Was an amazing experience, so peaceful. Def take drinks and a picnic!!! We went on a guided kayaking tour on the Cudgegong River with a group of ten other adventurers. John and Cindy were very friendly and gave us a clear demonstration on safety and what to expect on the tour. Cindy was an awesome guide who gave us lots of interesting information about the history of the area, especially about the Wiradjuri who are the traditional owners of the land in the Capertee Valley, as well as the construction of the dam in the 1930s. The scenery is fabulous, the kayaking was fun and the tour is highly recommended.See more..

While everyone else went to the beach we decided to try this little place inland away from the crowds (and summer rain) and we are so glad that we did! Two of our kids received Xbox games for Christmas and hadn't been off of them since so it was refreshing to stay here where there wasn't any Wifi or Mobile phone coverage! The kids played on their bikes and swam, explored, built camp fires, played games int he dark, and cooked! Some of us stayed in the clean, fresh, cabins and the teens put up a tent. Great share bathroom and wonderful hot showers. Two camp kitchens had everything we required. There are platypus in the area that are easily viewed by taking a dusk canoe tour. Lovely staff that are all VOLUNTEERS! This is a little known gem that is well worth a return visit.See more..

We stayed on a weekend when, finally, much needed rain had come, and it was beautiful! Mysterious, soft rain in stunning, remote country. The river is just wonderful there, falling over rapids into beautiful pools. We had some terrific walks, crossing the river at rapids. The cabins have been done with such thought and care: they fit perfectly in the environment, with great attention to detail - simple but very comfortable. A lovely wood fire.
