Our snorkel guide Cass was very friendly and great at finding turtles, we saw a lot! One was very big and a couple swam very close to us when surfacing to take a breath. They are so beautiful ❤ Bonus was a couple of batfish that hang around the mooring line, I was equally excited to see them Our skipper Chris was very funny and he's very skilled navigating the boat through the sandbar, which is quite an experience in itself! Due to bad weather condition we had to reschedule our trip 3 times but the staff was very helpful in trying to find suitable time. We're glad we get to do it before leaving Gold Coast, it's worth the wait!See more..

I had the best afternoon SUPing on the Brunswick River yesterday. I was lucky enough to be the only one booked on the tour, and my guide Darcy was very friendly, informative and made sure I had fun. He took lots of photos for me too, which I really appreciated. It was so peaceful gliding through the mangroves, and we saw pelicans, other water birds, fish and stingrays. Our two boys had their first surf lesson with Joe this morning. Joe was very friendly and took great care of the boys (11 & 13) they really enjoyed it and were up on their boards, surfing! Our family and friends family went on a sunset family kayak tour with Matt today and it exceeded all expectations. Matt is not only a knowledgeable tour guide but also a super team leader! He’s very familiar with local natures and creatures and every stop there were fun facts and activities (won’t tell you here to keep as a surprise, hahaha). My family and I hired 3 double kayaks and 1 single kayak for 2 hours. It was a great experience and super easy to organise last minute. James gave us a thorough introduction talk at the beginning, letting us know where to go, which way the current was flowing and spots to check out while kayaking. A mate and I hired 2 paddle boards for a hour to go around the island and have some exercise/time outside during lockdown. Rob was super professional, friendly and made us feel welcome. He got us fitted with some good size and easy to use boards, got us into the water, and gave us the ins and outs as well as where we could ride. Loved every minute!! Did a tour with a group of friends and my 11yr old daughter. We all had the best time! We booked 90mins, so we could try all water fun craft if we wanted to ... and we did. So we had time on the paddle boards, the kayaks and the pedal boats. We called ahead and asked if we could have our dog with us - they said yes. Our dog was fantastic in both the kayaks and on the stand up paddle boards. It was one of the highlights of our trip up to the Central Coast during the October school holidays. THE BEST part of the experience was the staff. It was the Monday Labour Day public holiday and they were SO BUSY, but the staff remained calm, unfazed and handled the huge demand brilliantly. We had a break between sessions, and enjoyed a picnic on the grass between 'rides'. Be calm and patient, and you will be looked after.See more..

We had our three children booked in with Coastlife Adventures to participate in the SurfGoms program at Tathra in early January 2021. Unfortunately, due to the sudden closure of the Victoria/NSW border, we had to cut our holiday short and subsequently had to cancel our lessons. Coastlife were very undertstanding and provided us with a FULL refund, despite their policy stating that we would only get a 50% refund. What a generous act! We will certainly be re-booking the lessons with Coastlife Adventures should be able to get back up there next year. Thank you again.See more..

I took my daughter an young grandchildren for a paddleboat on the lake and Big Trev was amazing accomodating and helpful. He engaged well with the kids and involved them whenever he could. Lifejackets were included for the little ones too. I believe there are turtles that feed on the seaweed and dolphins that play in the harbour...but unfortunately we didn't see them on our visit. Trev also entertained the kids with a magic trick and showed them how to call and feed the fish. We had a great day, made even better by his generosity and kindness....and the Dad jokes!See more..

Our kids and their friends had never surfed before, they had a couple of lessons and loved it. The lessons really got them going and they learnt the basics which will set them up for the future riding waves. Steve is an excellent instructor. Knowledgeable, personable and very supportive of our group of newbies. His instructions are clear, and assistance provided first rate. It was great to see the sting rays in the lake (some of them are enormous!) and be on the lake in the quiet and stillness of the early morning. Great value for money. My previous surfing experience was one group lesson with a different company but within 5 minutes I had learnt more from Trent than they taught me in an hour. He quickly identified what I needed to work on and had me riding waves to the shore by the end of the lesson. Top bloke too. Highly recommend.See more..
Heather and Paul were friendly, helpful and fun. We wanted to paddle about but did not have a lot of experience, they kindly went out of their way to ensure we would make the most of our time at Umina. The kids have attended surf lessons in Sydney but this was their first Surf Groms program. Chris, their coach, was fantastic with both of them, encouraging as well as helping them push themselves. He kept it fun so they always wanted more. We were lucky to score an almost private lesson as they were the only enrolments. I was impressed that it wasn’t cancelled. Emails are answered promptly and my questions were answered. This program would suit hesitant beginners as well as more experienced surfers. Chris is a great coach who kept the lesson fun and celebrated the milestones. Everything is provided, just bring Vaseline for the back of their necks as the wet suits can rub on the skin. See more..

We unfortunately picked a windy day to try SUP for the first time but were warmly welcomed by Max who made sure we had the right boards and took us on a tour of the inlet at Bermagui and found clear calm water for us to enjoy. After an hour plus of exploring we headed back to shore loving every minute of our experience. Max was fantastic and his family run an excellent business. This will be our first stop next time we are in Bermagui. My 13 and 16 yr olds had a great time and it was even easy for a mildly fit forty something.See more..

Had such a great time at Jungle Surf School! Booking was very easy and Charne was responsive to our enquires and flexible with our schedule. As two first time SUPers, we found her patience and relaxed approach helpful; not only masterful at SUP, but also adept at managing newbie nervousness (and the fear of falling in the drink, which we did a few times through no fault of our instructor!). I would even encourage those who might not be brand new to take advantage, as it is a wonderful window for visitors to the Great Lakes region to learn about Wallis Lake and its surrounding communities, all while enjoying a relaxed paddle amidst clear waters and the buzz of life visible onshore. I will warn you: when they say the water is warm, they may be speaking in relative terms ;) but otherwise strongly recommend!See more..
