5.0Port Macquarie Hastings Heritage(187 reviews) - A must do for visitors Cultural Tours • Historical & Heritage Tours • Walking Tours • Archaeology Tours
What an amazing walking tour. I was very impressed by the vast knowledge of our tour guide, Mitch. It seemed that we went back in time and enjoyed quality insight into the colonial history of Port Macquarie and the Hastings region. It should be mandatory for visitors to the city to learn these gems of information and thereby enrich their visit. I highly recommend the walking tour.See more..
5.0Newcastle Afoot(142 reviews) - Fun and Informative City Tours • Bar, Club & Pub Tours • Cultural Tours • Historical & Heritage Tours • Walking Tours
We did the Newcastle Gin Masterclass on Sunday. It was tons of fun. Our tour guide, Becky, shared lots about the history of pubs in Newcastle which was quite interesting (Do you know where the idea of Happy Hour comes from?). She also told us about the heritage architecture of the buildings and the beautiful artist created murals we passed on our walking tour. We learned a lot about gin, had some lovely cocktails, learned some Newcastle history, and had lots of laughs. I also was served the best gin and tonic cocktail I have ever tasted! Thanks Bec for another fabulous tour!See more..
5.0Blind Freddy's Bushranger Tours(48 reviews) - Craig’s a born storyteller! Cultural Tours • Historical & Heritage Tours • Walking Tours • Private Tours
What a great day we had with Craig on the walking bushranger tour of Canowindra and surrounds! All five of us (3 adults and 2 kids, aged 7 and 9) really enjoyed the day. Craig is a born storyteller, and we were all fascinated by what he shared with us. We were lucky to have a beautiful sunny day for our tour, so the walk around town was very pleasant. We purchased the lunch package too, and enjoyed a delicious home-cooked meal with Craig and his partner at Croote Cottage afterward. All in all, an excellent day that was definitely ‘something different’ - educational AND enjoyable! Thanks Craig.See more..
We thoroughly enjoyed this walk and Karen and Phil of Yuraygir Walking Experiences were great for both organising and helping us, put into action a wonderful fun adventure. These two kind and friendly local people had a great sense of humour and endless stories. Our trip was always much more enjoyable when we adhered to their wise advice, like reversing the route on the last day to take into account the winds and tides. It’s a magnificent part of Australia... photos do it much more justice than our words ... and Yuraygir Walking Experiences really did make it a magic trip. It was money well spent. Thanks again and we will be back one day for the kayaking.See more..
5.0Girri Girra Aboriginal Experiences(27 reviews) - Insightful bush walks in Bouddi National Park Walking Tours • Hiking & Camping Tours • Private Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Day Trips
Great way to enjoy the beautiful Bouddi NP through the lens of Tim who shared his culture and knowledge of the local area in the Central Coast. His insightful storytelling and beautiful singing kept us mesmerised throughout the walk amongst our ‘families’. Will definitely recommend to all, especially for those of us who desire to learn more about the land we call Home.See more..
Jess and Joel took us around the popular sites of Bellingen and surrounding areas. If we wanted to stop and stay a little longer they were very accommodating. The Kombi vans were so much fun to tour in and take photos with. We shall be back if we visit Bellingen again! Great work guys See more..
4.0Unkya Lalc Cultural Eco Tours(3 reviews) - Local indigenous tour Cultural Tours • Walking Tours • Eco Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
This is a new business offering walking tours of Scott's Head and the nearby Natioal Park. Belinda walked our family around Scott's Head for two hours, telling tradional stories of the Gumbaynggir people, explaining their Creation myth and the significance of the area from ancient times. Belinda was very knowledgeable on bush tucker and medicine and showed us an amazing fish trap. We really enjoyed the tour and learned a lot about indigenous culture and country. Highly recommended.See more..
Taralga was originally recognised as a Town in the 1860's but there had been pioneer activity in the surrounding area since 1824. This self guided walk takes you past a number of interesting historic buildings that were largely built in the second half of the 19th century and that are, still standing. On the whole though, hey are not open. A previous reviewer covers a number of these buildings in some detail. The walk is largely flat. The only issue we had one morning was that four dogs rushed out from one of the properties along the route and tried to encircle us. They were not growling but neither were their tails wagging. A very disconcerting experience particularly as they followed us for about 100 metres.See more..
5.0Vaiduokiai, Ltd.(1 review) - Capital of the Garden State Walking Tours
Melbourne is the capital of Australia's "Garden State." St Patrick's Catholic Cathedral is a neo-gothic structure dating from the 19th century, when the city was truly marvelous. St Paul's Anglican Cathedral has a magnificent interior; it's in the center of the city. Treasury Gardens is meticulously maintained; it adjoins Fitzroy Gardens has many well-know features, including historic Cooks' Cottage.See more..
5.0Bushliner Buses(1 review) - Made our Toc stay a cracker! Walking Tours • Bus Tours
Shylie & Graham provided bus service for our crew recently and did a fantastic job. We were staying in Toc and needed pick up from pub (a couple of times), golf club and also went down to the silo art trail. We had a tight itinerary and they were spot on. Great service, no fuss and well priced. No hesitation in recommending them, and will be using their services again.See more..
