    - Perfect kayaking experience close to Sydney
Monday: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Spent More than 3 hours Visitor Centers
Royal National Park Visitor Centre image
Bored during the school holidays we decided to take our teenage boys on a kayak trip in the Royal National Park. You hire from the Audley Boat shed who supply life jackets as well. We all chose a single kayak each which I would suggest over the double canoes (unless you have young children). We took a picnic with us which we had at the end of the river. The water isn’t overly deep and very clean and clear. It is best to take out for 2 hours that way you don’t have to rush. The landscape is just beautiful and was a lovely way to spend an afternoon. Spent < 1 hour Visitor Centers
    Snowy Region Visitor Centre image
Snowy Region Visitor Centre has a display of seven or so Coroboree Frog living in a purpose built glass tank with moss and fern they like. Like the Burghers of Calais (the subject of Rodin's sculpture you can see at the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra), these frogs have sacrificed their freedom to give you a personal encounter with an endangered species so you may ponder the wonder that is the Kosciusko Region. The human staff at this centre are always friendly and helpful in all conditions and the cafe nearby is classy. The touristic nick knacks for sale are a needless distraction i never fail to inspect carefully. Things for kids, both small and big, oh, and there is a gallery of local art that often has good work and videos to see. Maps, hats, sunscreen and compasses are all there, you should be too! - A wonderful natural resource well worth visiting
    Visitor Centers
    Dorrigo Rainforest Centre image
We had a wonderful visit to the Rainforest Centre. Entry is a gold coin donation. Be mindful the Skywalk is very short so I would recommend if you have the time taking one of the bushwalks available. One of the ladies in the shop recommended a walk that took in 2 waterfalls and we were delighted in the scenery through the rainforest, suspension bridges and falls. It is a little sleep coming back so recommend to take your time if you are not fit at the moment and to wear good footwear as trail is not always even & make sure you have water on you. There are benches at regular intervals to sit and relax and enjoy the many views on as well. The cafe does not have any options for a meal for people with gluten allergies, maybe a Byron Bay cookie at best and a coffee so keep that in mind. There isnt a lot of options either in nearby Dorrigo town centre that we found anyway. See more..

    Narooma Visitors Centre image
Very helpful attendant got us set up hiring e-bikes for a 2 hour ride. Excellent fun! We went from the top of the golf course hill, across the bridge, along the boardwalk, past the the boat ramp where we saw a snoozing seal, out to tip of the marina rockwall and back. Saw so much more than in a car or walking! Bikes were not hard to operate and were adjusted for height, helmets provided. In-shop display of the original lighthouse pieces were more interesting than the tour of the island itself. Great job, Narooma Vistiors Centre! See more..
