Nan Tien is very different from most tourist attractions because there is so much to offer: the visual delights of grandeur architecture, art & culture including unique exhibitions & festivals, Buddhist festivals, vegetarian culinary delights, educational & healthy life style classes & retreats, accommodation, top class conference and auditorium facilities as well as beautiful gardens & walks. There is also the spiritual and religious experience that is unforgettable and even life changing for some. See more..

What a find. Very interesting indeed. What a cultural melting pot Broken Hill was...after the synagogue look out the back for the titanic collection and dinky toys. Margaret was wonderful and also showed us photos of the construction of the desert sculptures - a lovely unexpected bonus. I would urge anyone to come here and experience this synagogue. See more..

At Penrose Park near Sutton Forest, just turn off the highway onto Hanging Rock Rd, then drive to the back of the complex towards the grotto. There are lovely fields full of kangaroos with a few tables then the walk through the forest past many shrines. Some quite neglected and some hideously ugly modern ones but quite a fascinating walk, culminating in Jesus' tomb of course. See more..

With not a lot to do in Woolgoolga, we decide to see what the Sikh Temple had to offer. It was an amazing find and we we ended up spending several hours here. Not only were the volunteer guides extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what was on display but our family (including teenagers) came away with a greater understanding about Sikhism in Australia. 10. 5.0 St Joseph's Church (1 review)
    - Good Mass
Religious Sites • Churches & Cathedrals
I attended St Joseph's on a Friday for morning Mass that was held in the nuns' chapel, not the church. Apart from me there was a good attendance of 11, including a young family. The priest was pleasant but being a weekday Mass, there wasn't a homily. The chapel just had sufficient seating for the attendees. The Mass was finished in 21 minutes. I also had a brief look at the Church which (being in regular use on weekends) is well maintained and attractive. It is, like many Catholic Churches, on top of a hill that was easy for me but which some elderly folk may find challenging. It took me 15 minutes from the Junee Motor Inn to walk to church, but I walk at a fairly fast clip. See more..
