On entering we were surprised to find an extensive food menu and bar available. The cinema itself was intimate and cozy with tables on which stood pink lamps, giving the place a romantic vibe! the art house movie was enjoyable and its great to be offered alternate style movies to watch rather than the mainstream! Happened to notice this gem was open at 3pm today. Asked the long line of locals and managed to make it to the 310pm move. Tickets the cheapest ever, selection of food also at a reasonable price. Then the chairs- never have I seen a cinema with 5 types of seats. Pillows provided for the least appealing chairs, bean bags, Su chairs and rows of movable movie seats. With an introduction from the curator the authenticity of this community cinema continues. A traitor ran the then, it began. Enjoyed the movie, the cinema & the atmosphere. Found ourselves in Glen Innes overnight and discovered this lovely little church that has been converted into a community cinema. They show current releases, it has raked flooring, modern seating, and great image and audio quality. It's run on a voluntary basis by locals. What's not to like. My only negative feedback was that they didn't have choc-tops in the candy bar, to whih they said they were worried about the mess (Fair play to them, after all they are volunteers!).
