Went to the local trots night here. Yes, the facilities are dated, but it is still ok. The local Lions club man the food area & the food is well priced & good showground food. Races are good fields with around 7-10 horses per race. You can view the horses up close in the parade ring. The races are run at quite a good pace & competition is high. Some excellent close finishes top off a great night out. Only drawbacks are bugs around the lights, but you can park your car along the fence & watch in comfort. Entry is free. See more..

  5. 5.0 Louth Races (3 reviews)
    - A huge camping party event in the Outback
    Arenas & Stadiums
    Louth Races image
The tiny remote community of Louth host the annual race in Aug. Thousands of Aussie who like to camp and party come from far and wide. It's about finding a suitable spot to setup camp and light a fire. There is abundance of place for those that like privacy on the outskirts of town. Drinking and music sets the mood of good will to all. Fri night the local pub bursts at the seams. They put on a country rock band. Sat night is at the race course. The races themselves are great. Plenty of colourful fancy dress outfits. Fashions in the field. It's on a dirt race track. Plenty of good jockeys and bookies to punt against. It's very dusty and can be freezing at night . There are free showers and plenty of takeaway food. A true Aussie experience. See more..
  6. 4.5 Goulburn District Racing Club (2 reviews)
    - Great service!
    Arenas & Stadiums
We attended a wedding here. I have some unusual food allergies which they were not aware of. As soon as they were made aware they took steps to have a meal prepared for me- even though it was a function with many people so no real time. All the servers were great and very attentive. The food looked delicious and what I had was great. The night was a huge success and part of that was the service. See more..
