Circular Quay is a colorful port where ferries and cruise ships board and depart, and boat watching can be as good a pastime as people watching. While street performers entertain outside, those wanting a more cultural experience can head into the Museum of Contemporary Art where a sculpture garden on the roof is as much a view as the waterways below.See more..
4.5The Merimbula Boardwalk(481 reviews) - Perfect Boardwalk. Take care with kids under 3. Spent < 1 hour Piers & Boardwalks
A must. The weather was perfect and we heard bellbirds, whip birds, saw a blue wren, lizards, puffer fish, mud skippers and possibly mullet fish. At the end is a cafe where you can sit, sip and contemplate . Perfect!See more..
4.5Nobbys Head and Breakwall(249 reviews) - Nice Nobby walk Spent < 1 hour Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks • Piers & Boardwalks • Lookouts • Scenic Walking Areas
Always a gorgeous walk but especially grand on a sunny day. Caught a ferry later the same day to view it, and the lovely city of Newcastle, from the shipwreck walk (Stockton). The Nobby's walk is flat - making it easily navigable by wheelchair, bike, scooter, pram or foot.See more..
5.0Urunga Boardwalk(233 reviews) - Spectacular outlook and a great walk Piers & Boardwalks
On a recent road trip, we visited the Urunga Lagoon Footbridge. It was a Sunday and it was very busy as the markets were on in the nearby foreshore. What a great vantage point this is to take in the surrounding vistas of the lagoon and the wildlife. The water is so clear, you can see the fish swimming around. There are seating areas along the walkway, if you need a spell. A really enjoyable experience.See more..
We stopped in at Narooma to stretch our legs and decided to walk the Mills Bay Boardwalk, and I am so glad we did. Beautiful sunshine and the clearest waters. We saw a beautiful seal sunbathing and were glad to see that the area was protected, for the seal's safety and ours. We saw a little stingray gliding through the water and many little fish. The boardwalk was an excellent little adventure.See more..
Good to see the river up compared to 6 months a go when it was very low. difficult to visualise the large amount of river traffic on the river 100 years a go, good place to stop and have a break, plenty of parking and spots for car & caravans. coffee shop near by sells good coffee places to sit and take it in.See more..
Was very windy when I was in the jetty and the seas were quite rough. The jetty is lovely to walk down and view the harbour. There is a walkway at the beginning to the jetty and along its length are signs telling about the jetty, when it was built and what it was used for . Before the jetty began there was an ice cream van on the day I was there. I really enjoyed the jetty walkSee more..

5.0Lennox Head Boardwalk(34 reviews) - Great views and wonderful exercise Spent 1-2 hours Piers & Boardwalks • Scenic Walking Areas
I’d walked south along the beach from the caravan park. At the southern end of the beach I found the boardwalk which then leads to a wide concrete path leading up to the headland lookout. Great walk, not hard but it is uphill. You are rewarded at the top with a magnificent view of Seven Mile Beach and the local surfers riding the southern point break. A great way to spend a morning. This has to be one of the prettiest little wharves within the Riverina area. Highly historic and well signposted with information. It takes only a few minutes to visit the wharf and is a must do in Wentworth!See more..
It was a pathway left to be explored and enjoyed along the river side, watching the gentle flow of the water flowing towards the sea. There were plenty of historical information about this area. We began our walk near Ballina Naval and Maritime Museum heading towards the small harbour and then around it along Regatta Avenue joining the track near Ramada Hotel and moving towards the city passing Moon Street. We brought good memories with us.See more..

4.5Lake Curalo Boardwalk(15 reviews) - Must Do Activity in Eden Spent 2-3 hours Piers & Boardwalks
A nature sanctuary for birds and plant life around Lake Curalo. This walk was recommended to us by our motel front desk and we are so glad we decided to take up the suggestion. It's not really visible from the main road but once you start walking you feel you are a world away from town life. We walked it in the evening so the lighting of the sunset and going into dusk was just beautiful. Part of the walk had a name 'Alan Gibson Boardwalk'. Really enjoyed walking along this path and would recommend it as a must do activity if visiting EdenSee more..
Recently on a trip to the Snowy Mountains area, we visited the Snow Gums Boardwalk lookout at Charlotte Pass. Parking is available. The boardwalk takes you along to two viewing areas, one a short stroll from the carpark, and the other up quite a few steps to the spectacular lookout overlooking the snow gums and Charlotte Pass area and mountains beyond. This lookout is certainly worth a visit.See more..

Great walk in from the east and they have just finished a new walking bridge. Great view of the river. Well worth the walk in via the east.See more..
Good base to learn about the history of Tathra and walk around the area. The building on the wharf is running as a cafe and displays art works for sale. I only had a coffee and excellent biscuit, but the meals looked lovely too. Plenty of people fishing from the pier. There is a 27km walk from the Tathra wharf to the Merimbula wharf called the Wharf to Wharf walk. We only walked short sections however. Good views from the hill above the wharf.See more..
