This trip was amazing! Great boat and it was really easy to hook on and get towed while watching wild dolphins came around you. We had 3 turns in the water. Amazing helpful young crew and they were very knowledgeable and safety conscious. Great brunch as well, and we got the fantastic pics. Professional video of the swim is included in the price! Our 8 yr old granddaughter came with us and was able to participate with the swim and really enjoyed the day.See more..

My husband and I went on the “Picnic Afloat” Sunset tour with 8 other people. It was an experience we will remember for all the right reasons. The staff from Tweed Eco Cruises made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped on the boat and everything was very well organised. Great decor, delicious food, and perfectly chilled complimentary bubbles sitting in ice waiting for us. We were lucky with the weather as it was a sunny day with light winds so cruising along the river with music playing in the background was a delight! The colours on the river at sunset with Mt Warning in the background was magical. From the very first phone enquiry with Lorraine we very impressed with the service and personal attention that was given. On the day both the skipper and first mate were friendly and knowledgeable. They catered to all our needs and went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure we had a wonderful few hours. The boat was well equipped, comfortable and it was a smooth cruise up the river enjoying the beautiful scenery and the peace and tranquility. A perfect day! We fed pelicans, went fishing, learnt about oyster farming and crabs, pulled up crab nets and went yabby pumping. Even in the rain it was fantastic fun! The boat is lovely and it is an easy trip around the estuary. We finished with lunch at the restaurant, I had the best mud chilli crab I have ever had, and I lived in Singapore! So much meat! Everyone on the boat was so lovely too! The kids had fish and chips, they are fish bites which was a little odd and the kids didn't like that, so I would probably had preferred to buy adult fish and chips and divide them for the kids. Our two boys had their first surf lesson with Joe this morning. Joe was very friendly and took great care of the boys (11 & 13) they really enjoyed it and were up on their boards, surfing! Our family and friends family went on a sunset family kayak tour with Matt today and it exceeded all expectations. Matt is not only a knowledgeable tour guide but also a super team leader! An excellent, informative and enjoyable tour learning about the life cycle and farming of oysters. Scott our tour guide was lots of fun and very energetic, had endless knowledge and answers to every question asked by the group. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area and wanting to learn about oysters. Beautiful scenery, great to taste freshly shucked oysters on the water and also be shown the technique of how to best shuck oysters which we have used since when buying unopened oysters. I had no idea this unique experience was so close to Sydney. We had a wonderful day out visiting Pearls of Australia. I learnt so much about growing Pearls, Pearl qualities and the industry without having to go all the way to Broome. Although now it has got me interested in visiting Broome as well. Liz and all the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Travelling out to the oyster leases with Bryce was a real highlight it was so nice to be out on the water and look at the oysters growing. Bryce had a lot of knowledge he shared with us about the process of growing pearls. We then went to the Mooney Mooney club just next door for a delicious lunch. It is worth ringing to book the club as numbers are limited and also checking for availability of tours before going. Thanks to everyone at Pearls of Australia for a fantastic day.See more..
Icould,nt pick a favourite part of our 4day Lake Eyre and Wilpena Pound Tour, it was all amazing, Linda was our guide and she was a wealth of knowledge. The scenery and the food and the history was great. she really looked after us. Liz was the tour guide in the other vehicle, these women were great drivers , we had a very comfortable trip, Would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to learn about our history and see the outback. 10 out of 10. Three of us spent Sunday afternoon in the Hawkesbury River during the Immerse Yourself oyster-shucking experience. The wonderful Sheridan took us to her oyster leases and explained oyster farming before we donned waders and started shucking our own oysters and prawns. We sipped on French champagne as the water lapped around our legs and ate an extremely generous mound of wonderful oysters, which we sprinkled with Sheridan’s spectacular elderberry vinaigrette. This is a new business offering walking tours of Scott's Head and the nearby Natioal Park. Belinda walked our family around Scott's Head for two hours, telling tradional stories of the Gumbaynggir people, explaining their Creation myth and the significance of the area from ancient times. Belinda was very knowledgeable on bush tucker and medicine and showed us an amazing fish trap. We really enjoyed the tour and learned a lot about indigenous culture and country. My son, 8 has attended a couple of Rewilding events with Scott and Sally and always enjoys his time there. He lives in the city but says, "I love the bush daddy" as we drive through the Wollumbin caldera valleys. He can make fire, spears, natural resin and snares, knows different kinds of Bush food and how to prepare them. Building a shelter would be no problem for him in the bush and he's even had a couple of tick bites. Saw yabbies and a platypus. You can swim and camp here too with a cool comfy Bush kitchen and amenities. You can't miss it. Just look for the rainbow house on the right if you're coming from Brisbane where my son lives.
