We recently booked a dive trips with Christmas Island Wet n' Dry Adventures and I cannot recommend them highly enough. - 5.0 The Blowholes (11 reviews)
-Christmas Isand Blowholes boardwalk
Sunday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent 1-2 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks • Scenic Walking Areas
Extraordinary natural setting with an excellent boadwalk. Track in is a bit rough but we handled it easily with our (slightly beat-up) rental Rav4. When there' a bit of a swell running this place is absolutely stunning - huge plume of seaspray blasting into the air. Lots of birds including (when we we there) nesting brown boobys with chicks and common noddys. Would be most spectacular at sunset with a swell running. See more..
- 5.0 Christmas Island Fishing & Adventure (10 reviews)
-Great times aboard Reef Runner with Dan
Scuba & Snorkelling
We did the snorkelling trip & the fishing trip. They both didn't disappoint. Dan was a great host & made our time onboard fun, informative & full of adventure. The Giant Trevalli patch was amazing to witness & the snorkelling spots were great. Just like swimming in a big aquarium. Complete with some added surprises (winky emoji). Our fishing trip was amazing starting at 5.15 am which was lovely to watch the sunrise. Dan was always keen to get us all involved & happy to help land the big fish. Wahoo!! We even got to swim with a whale shark. Wow! A big highlight of our trip & would to Christmas island & We would recommend Dan's to everyone. See more..

- 5.0 Golf Course Lookout (2 reviews)
-Well worth the effort
Spent < 1 hour Lookouts
The guide book rated this as a medium level walk. it is very steep in places and with the humidity... take it easy. The reward is definitely worth the effort with Frigate birds, Boobies and the occasional Bosun bird wheeling and circling overhead. The view is also spectacular out across the Indian Ocean as far as the eye can see. See more..

- 4.5 The Dales Hiking Trail (29 reviews)
-Great walk up to all the Dales
Hiking Trails
Beginning at a well sign posted leeway you first walk on the grates until a half way point that directs you to either the Anderson Dale or on to the Hughes Dale waterfall. I recommend you do both but do the Anderson first as its a longer walk off the grates but more interesting and although a little rocky going down into the Dale to the ocean entrance its well worth it to see the home of the Blue Crabs and the small but impressive canyon..don't go out to the waves tho as its a little dangerous there stay on the pebble beach..on the way back there is a slight detour with pink ribbons on the tree branches to guide you to the infinity pools on the left side..Not to be missed these are literally amazing pools good for swimming but just watch the waves as the force is strong even here.. Back to the Hughes walk and you are on grates climbing up quite a few steps making you nice and hot so that the cooling rewarding shower at the end will refresh even the most sweaty souls.. See more..
- 4.5 Lily Beach (27 reviews)
-Stunning little beach
Beaches
Lilly Beach is picturesque. The swimming is a little limited (at least when we were there - possibly low time) because of the rocks and coral. Nevertheless it is fabulous beach for a quick dip in the most beautiful surroundings. Another advantage is that despite the Baby Crab migration, the road to the beach wasn't closed. See more..
- 4.5 The Grotto (21 reviews)
-A piece of heaven on earth
Bodies of Water • Geologic Formations
My hubby and I were with our 11yo, 7yo and 2yo. The walk to Grotto is short.. At first, I was skeptical about the short steep slope to get in but after getting in, the rest is history.. It is a piece of heaven on earth, it is very relaxing, calming and the crystal clear water is so cooling to be soak in.. It is a must-go. We went at considered high-tide but it is still safe for kids.. See more..
- 4.5 Ma Chor Nui Nui Temple (7 reviews)

Spent < 1 hour Religious Sites
Feeling blessed to join the birthday celebrations for the Goddess of the Sea at this small temple on the edge of the cliffs. See more..
- 4.5 Christmas Island Golf Course (6 reviews)
-Friday scroungers ambrose
Golf Courses
Well where else do you have to shoe red crabs out of the holes before you putt. An amazing course this one. Incredibly scenic with tall coconuts lining the fairways and views over the jagged coastline on one side and the island cliff plateau on the other..not to mention the many booby birds and flying foxes that use the course as their home...Completely run by volunteers this is a must do for even novices..so come have a hit...the antics at the 19th hole will leave an indelible impression.. Great way to meet the locals See more..
- 4.5 National Park Bird Feeding (6 reviews)
-Thoroughly recommend! Grab your camera for very close ups!
Sunday: Spent < 1 hour Nature & Wildlife Areas
Very worth the visit! Not overly long but so very informative and awesome to see so many of these amazing birds up close. Some will be sitting on the fence waiting, others will sit on the roof above you so you can get lots great pics too! Lots of other info also about other wildlife on the island, just ask! Just a gold coin donation to help with food costs but worth more. Thoroughly recommend! See more..
- 4.5 Tai Jin House (2 reviews)
-Very interesting visit
Sunday: 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Natural History Museums • History Museums
This is a lovely building that now house a museum upstairs that includes a lot of history of the island. There is also an early photo of Bob Hawke when mine workers formed their union. A couple of videos about Christmas Island are played in the best room in the house (it is lovely and cool with air-conditioning). The young lady attendant and her mother were lovely, friendly and happy to talk about the island and some if its history. Also advised us of the lookout overlooking Flying Fish Bay See more..

- 4.0 Dolly Beach (23 reviews)
-Great outing to Dolly Beach - but leave the RAV4 at the 2WD car park...
Beaches
The big question: will the RAV4 make the trip back up the steep road? We were told to not try that one, and left the RAV4 at the 2WD car park. We were lucky to hitch a ride back with locals in a 4x4 ute with low range gearbox and difflock, i.e. no problem with the steep incline. However, we heard of another party of 4 taking a Rav4 down the steep slope (no problem). On the way up, the RAV4 was did not have enough grunt to make it up, 3 passengers got off, and helped push the RAV4 back up... If you were to catch a downpour while on the beach, the RAV4 might struggle on a wet road even with passengers pushing... (as alternative, the RAV4 had no problem with the track to Winifred beach) See more..
