A cliff top coastal walk, the Bondi to Coogee walk extends for six km in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. The walk features stunning views, beaches, parks, cliffs, bays and rock pools. The beaches and parks offer a place to rest, swim or a chance to eat at one of the cafes, hotels, restaurants or takeaways. All beaches offer picnic shelters, electric barbecues, play areas, kiosks, toilets and change-rooms. The walk is not difficult, there are medium gradient paths and several staircases with occasional seating. It takes about two hours to complete the Bondi to Coogee Beach section of the walk and another hour and a half if you choose to continue to Maroubra.

Spectacular views
This is an amazing coastline. Rock formations like nowhere on earth. We did it in reverse as we stayed at Coogee Beach. Much cheaper in accomadation and Bondi easy to get to by bus. Everyone knows about Bondi's Icebergs but I bet you didnt know that there are more like this along the coastline. Almost one for every beach, including Coogee Beach. Just be aware that there are some step steps along the walk so if you cant handle a few steps then this walk is definatly not for you. Having said that, the walk can be entered along the path at any of the beaches so do some research and enjoy as much as you can. There is a huge historical cemetery right close to the boardwalk at one point. It is close enough to read some of the tomb stones. I found it rather interesting. Do sunscreen up and take a hat, a bottle of water. And a must, dress for swimming. The surf can be rough and dangerous in these waters so stick to knee high water but do swim in the ocean water pools. The path has water refilling stations along the way which is fantastic. It will take you at least an hour (2 with lunch and photo stops), if you go the whole distance. Take snacks and some cash and enjoy an incredible lunch or a coffee at cafe on the beach at Tamarama (pronounced Tam-a-ram-a). i am definatly doing this again.

Scenic Walking Route for a Perfect Day Out
Bondi to Coogee Walk is a scenic walking route for a perfect day out. It takes you over a few stunning beaches, cliffs, lookouts and you can take it as slow or fast as you wish. It is not too difficult to complete, but it has some stairs and it extends for approximately 6 km one way. I love it and I usually walk there and back. It is even more stunning, if you do it during the sunrise or just before the sunset. There are plenty of seats along the way, where you can take some rest and take it all in.
