A Shopping Center With A Colonial Facade
The Queen Victoria Building (QVB) looks like a colonial building from the outside and indeed, it even retains some of the architecture from that era when you visit it. But at the same time, it has all the shops and cafes of a modern shopping center. It is a combination that makes it a unique place to visit and look around in. The QVB is linked to Town Hall Train Station and there is a Light Rail Station outside of it. The QVB is also linked to both Myer and the Galeries Victoria.

Interesting architecture, eclectic mix of shops.
Since the light rail construction work has finished the QVB is much more pleasant. It still is nearly fully occupied with an eclectic and diverse range of mostly high end shops. The building itself is interesting with beautiful stained glass windows and other Victorian architectural features.
