Taronga Zoo, New South Wales, Australia
4.5 (7.529 reviews) Sunday: 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM Spent More than 3 hours Price Range: from $34.56 Ranking #2 in Greater Sydney Zoos
Expensive but worth it.
Taking a ferry directly from Circular Quay to Taronga Zoo, located in the suburb of Mosman, is the first unexpected joy of visiting the animal park. Once there, the leisurely trails and opportunity to see some of Australia's distinct wildlife become apparent, as does the striking view of the Harbour Bridge from the seating at the aerial bird show. Advance booking can give you the chance to see koalas up close, or stay overnight and 'camp' in the zoo.

Expensive but worth it.
Taronga zoo, is really a premiere class of zoo. Animals are housed in settings that are comfortable for them, and gives the public a chance to see them. The zoo offers many opportunities to interact with some of the animals at additional cost and you may find it worth while to try this out. We unfortunately could not get into the Meerkat feeding sitting, which my wife really wanted to do. But its very limited and only done on Saturdays. We spent over 5 hours there, most people will probably spend less but you should give yourself at least 2.5-3 hours to see it.

Relaxing weekend stay away from crowded city
I visited Taronga Zoo at every birthday occasion but only 1$ entry and this time they have a whole new Safari from Africa. I really enjoyed the Keeper Talk sessions and the Seal Show. However, too many Australia While Ibis and they are messing up the prams and trolley parked outside of the Seal Show. Will definitely return to Taronga Zoo again!
