The favourite part of our experience was dealing with Isobel in the later part of the afternoon of our weekend trip. Isobel had been driving the scenic railway but happened to be assisting passengers when we queued up in the afternoon for our trip at the front of the carriages. Not only did Isobel make sure we were comfortable waiting for our perfect seat on the carriage, she regaled us with humorous anecdotes only matched by her local knowledge and information. Our cold and chilly afternoon was warmed by her personal yet professional service. What an asset she is to Scenic World! Of course all the staff were incredible that day but Isobel, who we assume must have a role of great responsibility and leadership in the business, really did add that special touch to our visit.

This is a definite when visiting this area
The day started wet and murky and we thought this will be disappointing..... Then by the time we'd arrived at Scenic World, the skies had cleared, the sun shone. We loved all the different ways to ride up, down, across, walk etc. The views over the Blue Mountains National Park are breathtaking, and the ticket enables you to do all the rides multiple times in a day (which I would recommend), so in our view good value. The scale of the vista is hard to make sense of and take photos of - we did our best! Our fave ride by a small margin was the Scenic Railway. The almost vertical feeling as you go down into the valley (or back up) is not something you experience every day, and the adjusting seats to make the pitch more or less steep is a fun feature! If you come to the Blue Mountains only once, visit here, don't worry about the ticket price - you'll have a great day.
