So me and my Sister went on a day trip. You have to drive down a narrow county road to get to this, then down a dirt road. It felt creepy driving down the county road let alone to get there. It was quiet. We didn’t see or hear anything odd, but we did feel like we were being watched. She had evps that were coming out with the word “Indian” in them and figures that were standing a distance from me seen through her phone that disappeared when I turned to look. We took a picture and I noticed in the photo later when I got home there was a strange figure with a face that looked like an Indian. Super strange!See more..

3.0Music City Mall(33 reviews) - A bit crowded, but live music was present Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Shopping Malls
With an ice rink, a nice selection of stores, and a space dedicated for live musicians, this place has a potential for greatness. The only critique I have is that the main hallways are very outdated and are in need of a remodeling. It looks like it was built in the 70's. If you want a nice walk with an occasional trip into a store to shop, it works well. Wanna shop and jam to live, local musicians, you can't go wrong here. But if the hallway atmosphere is not revamped, it will not get much respect.See more..
11 of us scheduled a weekend hog hunt at MY-Ranch. After the scheduling, one of the party read the bad reviews that are posted here and we became very nervous that we had wasted our money. We arrived skeptical, but found the lodging as described and promptly headed out to the stands. The first night a total of 6 hogs were taken, one exceeding 200#. Walter had his people skin and cut up our hogs and we never had to touch the dirty things. We also took advantage of the multiple skeet/trap shooting lanes and target range. I think everyone in our group had a great time. We are considering scheduling a return trip.See more..
3.0Lake Balmorhea(32 reviews) - Nice except for all the trash! Bodies of Water
Nice size lake in the middle of the desert. We camped at Balmorhea State Park, (which is awesome for a small park), and were looking forward to fishing at Lake Balmorhea. We started at the damn but it was way too windy so we drove around to the south side to find a calmer spot. We found an area with covered tables and decided to fish there. It was so trashed out - beer cans, plastic bottles, cigarette butts, broken glass, flip-flops, plastic bags, confetti (piñata?) and a bunch of other crap. The guys who dump the trash cans came by when we were there and took the cans but didn't bother to walk around a pick up the obvious trash laying around. Really sad.... This could be an amazing little lake area. We will not be returning. Had to get a day fishing license and pay $5 per person to fish here - $50 for 2 people to fish! Don't waste your time or money.See more..

I live near this theater so I go about twice a month. I prefer to go here during the matinee. There are generally only adults and a few children. I tend to enjoy the movies when there are fewer children. It's just quieter. I love kids - raised many but now I just like to relax and enjoy the movie. Also, the concessions are okay. I think they are significanly over priced. I generally do not purchase them. If you are on a budget or not in the splurging mood, then eat before you go or grab a snack right after. The theater is in the same area as many great eateries.See more..
We learned so much visiting this site! Goliad is the birthplace of one of the most famous Mexico hero’s; his successful defeat of the French army is what is celebrated every May. The info graphic signs are in both English and Spanish and though its a lot of reading we found ourselves really drawn into the story of the area. It’s been a couple weeks since we visited Goliad and this is particular site still is on my mind. Really well done and it’s FREE. See more..

3.5State Farm Arena(22 reviews) - Awesome show Arenas & Stadiums
On our last night in Texas we caught a show with the family. Gabriel Iglesia was phenomenal. He had us rolling and crying at his crazy life stories. The StateFarm Arena itself is not huge at all. All seats are great. Now the prices at the concession stand are a little ridiculous, but if you are hungry or thirsty they are there for you. I didn't like the fact that the ushers were standing by the stairs and lighting peoples eyes when someone would get up for a reason. I was getting irritated every time he flashed my eyes. The arena needs to install little blue lights so people can watch their steps in the dark and that would eliminate the ushers with the flashlights flashing ones eyes. Oh they can stand there but please turn flashlights off. See more..

It's been so long that we have been up to the Indian Reservation that we had to go look as we were just passing by!! Little did we know they have a nice new "bingo" hall with slot machines.. Wahoo!! We played a little, and watched a lady do real good...turned 20 into 1000!! Ate dinner at their lil' restaurant. They are just getting going, I read the re-opened on June 2nd...no alcohol but all the soda you want. Now if Texas will just let them be...Texans will have a place to play in their own state and the Indians will have more support they so desperately need!! See more..
If you are looking for a scenic drive with beautiful views, this is your place. There isn’t much to do but I loved the educational signs along the way. 3.0Fort Alamo(19 reviews) - Those were the days my friend! Speciality Museums
Such a shame to hear that this p!ace has closed. In the early 70's (72-74) I was there twice with a church group and Boy Scout troop from a nearby Air Force Base in Del Rio, Tx which my dad was stationed at. This was such a fun place to visit, especially as a young boy. I recently found some old photos that I took there and decided to look it up.Was sad to find out it closed. 3.5Guadalupe Canoe Livery(18 reviews) - The Good and the Ugly River Rafting & Tubing • Gear Rentals
First I want to point out that this is the most beautiful and relaxing place to float the river. The waters were mostly deep and not overly crowded with chaos. The ugly part of the trip was that it took 3 hours to get our group checked in, loaded on the bus, and finally taken up the road to the starting point. This place was completely unorganized - the person loading the tubes was so angry about the confusion that he started throwing tubes out of the truck which were hitting people. Some of the people working were very nice including a little boy that was about 10. However, they could've done a better job of organizing our group. On top of that there were no signs of where to park and no signs of where to get off the river (thank goodness we were able to figure it and not be stranded down the river). I highly recommend you purchase your own tube (which are only $12) and find another way to be dropped off at the starting point, such as a friend or over-sized taxi.See more..

3.5Lynn Creek Park(18 reviews) - Get there early! Wednesday: 6:00 AM - 10:00 PM Parks
Just like most public rec places, you will need to arrive early to stake out a good spot but its worth it. The sandy beach area with the roped off swimming area is great for kiddos and when they get tired of that you can go through a little stroll in the trees or they can play at the nearby park. Be weary though, lots of rocks and twigs. Little toes without water shoes or firm sandals will get poked and pricked! If you are in town or live nearby check it out one nice summer day. I guarantee the kids will sleep hard at the end of the day!See more..
I have been going to this antique store for decades. It is fairly large. It may have changed hands a time of two. Until a couple years ago, I found lots of antiques for good prices. There are still nice antiques in the store but the prices are too high. I might keep looking when I make return trips but I doubt I will buy anymore. I can find better prices in lots of other small town antique stores.See more..

Whitestone was created with one thought in mind... offer Texans and visitors the best possible golf experience at an unbelievably affordable price. We are proud to say that we have done just what we set out to do!Our Fort Worth golf club first opened in May, 2000 and we immediately knew that we had something really special! Whitestone was instantly selected as one of Texas' Top 10 New Public Courses. Whitestone Golf Club is located on 150 acres of beautiful rolling land. That enabled us to build a course that is really unique for the Northern Texas area. For our Fort Worth golf club, we selected the newest and best type of grass for our greens, tees, and fairways. Tif Eagle is considered to be the finest grass for putting surfaces that you can get for a climate like ours here in the Ft. Worth area. Our Bermuda 419 tees and wide, accommodating fairways give our golfers great lies to hit those important approach shots to our large, receptive greens. Our 18 hole championship Fort Worth golf course was co-designed by nationally-known golf architects Jeff Brauer and Jay Morrish.See more..

3.5Rollover Pass(15 reviews) - Ceased by Eminent Domain - Fishing is no more, but the birding is better Spent More than 3 hours Piers & Boardwalks
Rollover pass is gone. It is no more. Galveston County ceased the pass via eminent domain and filled in the pass due to beach erosion and silting. The county website said there may be future plans for a park and fishing pier. Fishing was the main attraction here, but now that it's been eliminated birding is actually better. There are two tiny trickles of water on the left and right side of where the edge of the pass used to be. Gulls, terns, skimmers, plovers, sandpipers and more like to sit on that protected land spot. If you are a bird photographer, it's a great place to get close up shots.See more..

3.0Combine City(15 reviews) - Worth it? Only if you’re going that direction anyway. Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks
Well don’t know what we really expected to see. A bunch of farming equipment with buried back ends. As an art installation it’s sort of interesting because they’re all different makes, models and colors. But fir your average person you’re going to say “We drove out here for that?” If you’re going to drive right by it anyway it’s worth stopping for. My husband and son chose this instead of the Panhandle Museum of History, I got gipped.See more..
