He’s professional, helpful, takes the time to talk with guests and answer their questions about the golf course as well as the Glen Mills school to which it is connected. I just returned from three nights at Scottish Heights and it was fantastic. Jackie & Shawn are such friendly and gracious owners who will bend over backwards to make sure you are having a good time and everything is perfect for your stay. We just spent a great 2 days here. They have a Stay and Play Package for $149. It includes a Sunday round of golf, dinner, overnight stay and a Monday round of golf. This is a beautiful course with a club house/restaurant/bar/guest rooms all in one refurbished factory building right on the grounds. Being end of year, the course was a little torn up, and the greens were not pristine, but they were good. We could not beleive the amount of players leaving huge open divots and walking away from ball marks - disrespectful! Also, don't let the sandwich/soup/burgers menu fool you. We had not heard of this public golf course but after reading about it on line, we thought we would give it a try. What a find! It’s family owned, very nicely maintained and the tree lined fairways are amazing. The front nine is relatively flat but can still be challenging and the back nine is beautiful with rolling hills and a unique layout. Tees, fairways and greens were in good shape. I went tubing with my family on New Year’s Day and we had a blast tubing here! It was our first time going and it was a lot of fun! Most of the lanes were open, the staff at the top was very helpful and the line was kept moving quickly. My only complaint would be the belt that you sit on with your tube to get to the top. It is hard (esp for short people like me) to roll out of my tube easily and the staff running the belt at the top were kind of rude and not friendly at all. But overall, we had a great time! Beautiful day for a outdoor wedding. With barn weddings getting more and more popular, this was are first time and it was very nice, especially with all that is going on with the pandemic. I would recommend, and I would love to come back in for another wedding, amazing food and great staff. On the Menu was Fillet Mignon, chicken, roasted veggies, salad, potatoes and a roll. This course has been around for many years and has 27 holes, 9 of which are from the early years when it was an 18 hole course. The course is in very good shape with excellent greens. There are quite a few trees on the course, but mostly pine trees which have been raised and mostly kept clean underneath for ease of finding that errant shot. Totteridge is a real gem. Beautiful layout. Large variety of different hole layout. Green's have always been well kept as are the fairways. You will be challenged! I don't know if you can walk it and I am not sure I would want to, very hilly in spots. Prices are very reasonable especially for a course of this high quality. It’s a public golf course but it’s as close you can get to a private country club course. This is a long hard course if you haven’t played here. The greens are lightening fast especially in the summer. If you get on the wrong side of the pin it will cost you a shot because you can’t stop your ball on the some of the greens. Most of the greens are extremely undulated. If you play from the tips it will challenge the best golfers. This course will humble you if you play here consistently. It’s not a beginner course and it will make you a better golfer playing here. The facilities are nice also and the food in the bar/restaurant is very good. Have been golfing here since it was just a 9 hole course years ago. Now it's 18 and myself and my golfing buddy love it. Not the toughest course around, but the views are great, people are nice, and the rates are very reasonable. Great place in the fall when the apples are ripe on the trees surrounding the course. Course was privately made by one man, and the dozer he used is on display on the back 9. Course is confusing in a couple of spots so watch the map on the scorecard closely if you've never been here, or ask if your not sure. Especially on #6 or you'll shoot to the wrong green. But this course should be on your bucket list.See more..

If you like a fun, playable course I would highly recommend getting off of I-80 and playing this Tillinghast gem. The par-threes are especially noteworthy. The staff was friendly and truly care about the club and the course. Overall the course was in terrific condition in light of the budget it works with. I'd suggest making a visit to Wanango then heading to Foxburg to play the nations oldest golf course than was started in 1887.See more..

First off this course is not inexpensive. A victory golf pass will soften the blow to the wallet though. The course cannot be walked as it covers over 300 acres....at times you feel isolated which is an awesome experience on a golf course. The conditions are always stellar .....tee's ~ fairways ~ greens are always suitable for quality play. The terrain at times will make you feel you're in the mountains , but it's just West Chester ! The course flows well and I can't think of a forced or contrived hole. Your round finishes on an extreme downhill par 3 , 140 yds. followed by a 500+ yd. par 5 with water right on the approach. Variety defines this course best.....and it's funny because it's sister course , Iron Valley is additionally one of my top picks although an hour away in Lebanon.
