5.0Hickory Hollow Horse Farm(1.377 reviews) - A fantastic experience! Three generations a grandmother, two 30 year olds and a 7 year old all had a fantastic ride. Horseback Riding Tours
We went as a group of four. Hickory farms accommodated everyone from a seven year old to his grandmother with appropriate horses. My grandson got very nervous during the safety briefing but the staff was excellent; professional, clear directions with a kind firm manner was all he needed. As he fell asleep on the night of his ride he proclaimed "best weekend ever." Thank you Sarah, Pam, and particularly to the very kind lady who ensured that my grandson had a safe fun day. The only way the tour could have been better was if the historical guide had given a condensed "Cliff Notes " version of the battle before going into great detail. I have read four books on Gettysburg and have an interest and still got bogged down in two hours of details (without the personalities of the generals being more prominent in his talk.) A great day. Thank you all!See more..
We had a wonderful experience at Refreshing Mountain. The cabins were clean, the pedal cars, zip lining, and outdoor tree adventure were so much fun. However, we purchased the Fun 5 pack and by the time we finished three of the activities, the reptile room and farm animal experience were closed for tours. We were not able to reschedule, since everything was booked during our stay. This was disappointing. As a party of 10, we felt a credit or refund should be given.See more..
5.0Confederate Trails of Gettysburg(1.294 reviews) - Excellent tour & people! Sunday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Historical & Heritage Tours • Walking Tours • Sightseeing Tours • Horseback Riding Tours
What a great time! Three of us showed up for the horseback tour of the battlefield and we were not disappointed! Right from the start, the staff at Confederate Trails put you at ease with their quick wit but were serious about safety and telling you what you needed to know about your horse. The earpiece to listen to the guide was great as we were in the front of the line and he was in the middle. I already knew a bit about the battle, but he taught me a few things I didn't know! The horses were sweet and polite and the length of the tour was just perfect. I will book again for sure! So glad I found this gem of a horseback riding experience in the beautiful setting of Gettysburg!See more..

3.5Rolling Hills Ranch(39 reviews) - Good times with kiddos Horseback Riding Tours
Our first time here at the ranch but had a blast. "Sedona" was stubborn at first but couldn't wait to return to the barn for the last 30 seconds of the ride. What a hoot! ! The guides were great and helpful. We will be back. Sedona and I have an understanding. Not really ...but I'd ride her again!See more..

3.5Silver Stallion Stables(21 reviews) - Very basic riding experience - and I don't do Confederate flags Spent 1-2 hours Horseback Riding Tours
I love to go on horseback trail rides when I can - I rode as a kid and it's fun! I recently rode at Silver Stallions and it was very very basic as far as trail rides go. We didn't leave on time so the ride was more like 40 - 45 minutes which was disappointing. The ride was very scenic but it would be hard to find a trail in beautiful Cook Forest. Employees were ok but very unprofessional. I was completely taken aback by the HUGE Confederate flag hanging in front of the office. To me, this was very offensive. I ended up booking another trail ride (2 hours) with another stable and had a great experience. I won't be back to Silver Stallions.See more..
4.5Sheeder Mill Farm(20 reviews) - Best Trail Ride Ever Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Farms • Horseback Riding Tours
If there was a way to make this 6 stars I would. My family arranged a 2 hour trail ride. 2 had never ridden a horse. The crew was very professional and gave exceptional instructions. The trails were beautiful and a perfect place to ride. What was really impressive was the condition of the horses. These horses were born and raised on this farm and are not what you typically get when you sign up for a trail ride. The owner is fantastic and really made a huge positive impression on us. I can't say enough about Sheeder Mill Farm.See more..
4.0Greenridge Horse Ranch(12 reviews) - Beautiful late fall afternoon ride Sunday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Horseback Riding Tours
My husband and I had an excellent experience at Greenridge today. The facilities are definitely a little rough...be prepared for mud! However do NOT let that deter you from taking a trail ride with these folks. Our trail guides, two sisters, were so sweet and really eager to make sure we had fun. Our horses were some of the most gentle, well trained that we’ve ever experienced. They really did anything asked of them with no issues whatsoever. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous. It was a beautiful day. See more..
5.0Summit Trail Rides(10 reviews) - Riding Through the Allegheny Mountains Sunday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent 1-2 hours Horseback Riding Tours
I was not sure what I had gotten my family into as we drove miles on a dirt and gravel road without seeing any signs of life, but then sure enough we eventually came upon the stable and everyone greeted us so warmly. They took their time explaining how to handle each horse and were patient with all the questions. Their main goal seemed to be that our experience was a good one. The scenery was beautiful and this turned out to be one of our family’s favorite activities this Columbus Day WeekendSee more..
This place is definitely a must do at Cook’s Forest! Great for the entire family. I called on Monday and made reservations for Thursday. Upon arrival we were greeted immediately. 5.0Charming Creek Farm(1 review) - Farm tour and Pony Show! Horseback Riding Tours
Scheduled a few days prior - totally worth it! Beautiful and fun! Owners showed us around their gorgeous property, then put on a "pony show" in the indoor arena starring their "world famous" miniature horses - hilarious! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.See more..
My wife and I took this tour durning the end of peak fall foliage and we had a great time. The staff are very friendy and caring as they provided blankets on the wagaon and everyone used them as weather said low 50's but was more like low 40's and when your on a wagaon for two hours it gets cold. We were dressed for it but some folks had light jackets on and were very cold even with the blankets so dress warm. The wagons did have padded seats and were open on both sides. The guide was very friendly and provided local history and what wildlife was in the area. Did not see any bald eagles but did see where the nest was. The only thing that could be better would be the restrooms as they were not the best and could of been cleaner.See more..
