5.0Segway Tours of Gettysburg (SegTours, LLC)(1.751 reviews) - One of the best Segway tours we've taken Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Segway Tours • Historical & Heritage Tours • Sightseeing Tours
My wife and I have been on many Segway tours on our trips. This tour rates right up there as one of the best, most professional, and very informative. First of all, Al did an amazing job as our safety person. He was very attentive and kept a close eye on everyone in the group in order to keep us all safe as we had to cross some Gettysburg streets. He brought some snacks and water for the group, which we all enjoyed. Our resident historian, Joe, blew us away with his deep knowledge of all the Gettysburg battles. Such a nice and caring man, which made it very easy to ask all the questions we had. The way he told of the battles was like being taken back in time. This is a top notch professional business. You won't be disappointed if you reserve your spotSee more..
My wife and I, along with four of our friends, did the evening covered bridge tour. Our guide was Brian. From the very beginning Brian was welcoming, friendly, and talkative. He made us feel at home and I really appreciated the free water to take on the ride. Our entire tour included 6 scooters and I believe three scoot coupes. He taught each group individually (scooters first, then he moved on to the coupes). It was well organized, and his ability to manage a group of that size safely was great. Every Rider received individual training/guidance if they needed it before hitting the road. The tour was absolutely beautiful. Everyone in our group was all smiles the whole time. The bridges and history are fantastic. All of us agreed that we would be doing another tour. this is a great way to experience the area and it is a fantastic memory to have.See more..
What a great time! Three of us showed up for the horseback tour of the battlefield and we were not disappointed! Right from the start, the staff at Confederate Trails put you at ease with their quick wit but were serious about safety and telling you what you needed to know about your horse. The earpiece to listen to the guide was great as we were in the front of the line and he was in the middle. I already knew a bit about the battle, but he taught me a few things I didn't know! The horses were sweet and polite and the length of the tour was just perfect. I will book again for sure! So glad I found this gem of a horseback riding experience in the beautiful setting of Gettysburg!See more..
4.5Gettysburg Battlefield Bus Tours(1.117 reviews) - Great tour Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Historical & Heritage Tours • Bus Tours
The tour guide was knowledgeable and added great color to the events that happened during the battle. He gave a very clear picture of what both sides were seeing. He gave insight on what was happening with the towns people as well. I really don't think a self guided or auto tour would have given me as much information. I highly recommend this tour especially since the day we were there the visitor center was closed.See more..
Guide Larry K. was beyond amazing. He led my group on a detailed tour of the action on and around Culp’s hill. During the introduction atop the hill, a strong thunderstorm blew through. With rain falling and large branches coming down only feet away you’d think the tour would get cancelled. Larry didn’t miss a beat! Detailed accounts of the battles and the engineering that went into the breastworks of the hill relayed in exacting fashion. The weather only slightly improved over the remainder of the 2hr tour but Larry’s enthusiasm was never drenched. I can’t say enough about the experience. If you want to learn about Gettysburg, get yourself a licensed battlefield guide.See more..
We took the 2 hour walking tour with Kenneth Rich as our guide. We always use guides to receive the best information. Ken was very knowledgeable and had an easy manner. He was able to tell the story of Jennie Wade while weaving in facts of the day, pulling together all the details of her tragic end.See more..
5.0Ole Covered Wagon Tours(505 reviews) - Fun and Beautiful Views Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 AM Historical & Heritage Tours • Sightseeing Tours • Horse-Drawn Carriage Tours
This was such a beautiful ride through the base of the PA Grand Canyon. It lasted 2 hours and was $40 per person. It was well worth the money. The man who was the guide was excellent and very personable. I would recommend sitting in the rear of the wagon if possible; I think those were the best views and got pictures without the other people in them. Recommend.See more..
5.0GettyPeds(307 reviews) - Rent a GettyPed! They are a MUST! Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Historical & Heritage Tours • Gear Rentals • Vespa, Scooter & Moped Tours
I have been booking GettyPeds for several years now and it is a MUST when we visit Gettysburg every year! This is a family-run business, and they are the nicest most accommodating people. Book a 3-hour excursion and you will be able to cover the entire park with time to get out and explore. You can rent by the hour which makes it nice though in the event that you don't have a lot of time to spare, but you can still have some fun riding around in the coupe! This is the best way to see the park and they are easy to handle. Can't recommend them enough!See more..
5.0loKal Experiences(261 reviews) - Amazing meal with an Amish Family.... What A Treat!! City Tours • Multi-day Tours • Cultural Tours • Historical & Heritage Tours • Beer Tastings & Tours • Coffee & Tea Tours • Cooking Classes • Private Tours • Food Tours • Bar, Club & Pub Tours • Distillery Tours • Taxis & Shuttles • Walking Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Running Tours • Day Trips
My fiance, myself and my 9 year old daughter all live within 30 minutes of Lancaster and have experienced most of the Amish experiences (which are not really authentic), but this experience was different, I finally had the opportunity to sit down to a home cooked meal by a wonderful Amish woman and have a great conversation with the family. My 9 year old loved joining the kids in a soccer game after dinner. Phil was our guide and was so knowledgeable about the area and the Amish. I can't wait to take more of LoKals excursions. What a great way to spend the evening! Thanks so much Phil!See more..
5.0Gettysburg Licensed Town Historian/Guides(118 reviews) - Town Tour Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM City Tours • Historical & Heritage Tours • Walking Tours • Sightseeing Tours
Excellent tour of the town with guide Terry Hall. He gave an entertaining fact filled 90 minute tour that both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed. He answered any questions we threw at him and provided many insights into town life before, during and after the time of the battle. Terry provided many little vignettes of towns people and weaved a great well constructed story that left us talking about in our car ride home. We highly recommend you take the time to take one of these tours when you visit Gettysburg and ask for Terry!See more..
4.5Wolf's Bus Lines(47 reviews) - Wonderful time, plenty to do Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Multi-day Tours • Historical & Heritage Tours • Food Tours • Bus Tours • Day Trips
My husband and I just got back from a 4 day three night stay in New England, touring Boston, Rhode Island, Salem and Gloucester. Our driver Doug (from West Virginia) and Mike from New York were so accommodating. Doug is a terrific driver. We had severe rain on our first night in Rhode Island and while touring a large pumpkin display, the parking area was pitch black and yet he maneuvered through it. The Encore was a really nice surprise. The only complaint was not enough time to enjoy the hotel and casino. Plenty of vouchers for food and gambling but almost no time to spend them. For future, I think I would reduce or even skip Rhode Island and go directly to the Encore though the hotel in Rhode Island was very nice and clean. I also would skip the trolley ride through the graveyards in Boston and let the guests spend the evening at the Encore.See more..
5.0Randolph Harris(15 reviews) - You will be a better human being by the end of this tour! City Tours • Cultural Tours • Historical & Heritage Tours • Private Tours
One of the best tours I have ever taken. If you want an deep understanding of Lancaster’s rich history take this tour. Randy is incredibly knowledgeable and willing to answer anything you can think of. Take the tour, see a bunch of incredible things and learn about some pretty amazing people. Lastly, I would take any tour led by Randy; he’s that good.See more..

5.0Friendly Planet(5 reviews) - Ancient Egypt Comes Alive with Islam Mostafa Cultural Tours • Historical & Heritage Tours • Sightseeing Tours
Our Egyptologist, Islam Mostafa, made Egypt come alive on our recent tour to Egypt with Friendly Planet. He was professional, engaging, and I believe, the most knowledgeable guide we have had on all of our 6 different tours with this company. There was not a question he could not answer. His love and enthusiasm for the ancient history of Egypt is obvious. He colored his commentary with a great sense of humor as well!See more..
Truly SUPERIOR 2-week tour, including a VIP private one-day tour of Jerash (Jordan) ruins. Excellent hotel accommodations in both Jordan and Israel, full buffet breakfasts & dinners. Petra's SIQ (canyon) physically challenging for some seniors, but Bedouin transportation available ($40/person). Whole trip is a spiritually and intellectually rewarding experience. Take extra US currency, as Middle-East merchants resist credit cards except for major purchases. Dollars welcomed everywhere. Tour includes visits to all major sites in northern and central Israel, with several days in Jerusalem. Cannot praise this trip (and our wonderful guide "Hela") highly enough. Pilgrim Tours provided superb pre-travel preparation, including reasonable airfare with all airport pickup and delivery. We experienced seamless travel transitions throughout. I recommend Pilgrim Tours (Morgantown, PA) with complete confidence.See more..

5.0Waynesborough Historic House(3 reviews) - Beautiful wedding venue Historical & Heritage Tours My daughter was in a wedding at this place and it was incredible. I thought I knew a lot about the Battle of Gettysburg, but I was wrong. On my last trip to Gettysburg I was fortunate to talk a tour with Pat of American Stories Historic Walking Tours. What an experience! She took me back to July of 1863, and unfolded the rest of the story in great detail. This tour was a real eye opener! If you are like me and think you know a lot about the Battle of Gettysburg don't miss a chance to take this tour from American Stories Historic Walking Tours. After all the whole town was a battlefield!See more..
