I was absolutely surprised with the attention this people put into their guest's parties. We arrived and a welcoming message for Nora was already in the wall. The table was organized with everything we needed. She turned 17 and she has been going to that place since she was 4years old. The owner is a nice man, he actually approached us to say happy birthday to Nora. The girl that attends was very attentive to the kiddos questions too. We had a great time. We had everything we needed, the 15 dols per person includes a piece of pottery that you can paint however you want. The paints and everything else is included in the price of the piece. They will put it in the "oven" and call you so that you can pick it up. We had so much fun! Thank you 2000 degrees! See more..

2.5Color Me Mine(2 reviews) - Totally wasted a day Paint & Pottery Studios
I visited color me mine in the capitol City mall for the first time with my wife and 3 children. This is a very popular spot and was quite busy. We were put on a wait list at first but then were seated right away. This is a great experience that the whole family can enjoy together. First you have to choose a piece of pottery that you want to paint. Once everyone has made a selection you pick out 5 colors from a huge variety of colors. The staff is friendly and explains exactly how to go about painting your artwork. There are also hundreds of paint brushes, sponges and stencils to choose from to make your pottery unique. After the initial 5 colors that the staff gets for you, you are able to get up and use any other colors you wish. I did not realize how long painting the pottery takes. I think I was there almost 2 hours. The kids really enjoyed being able to choose there own colors and paint however they wanted to. One thing to take into consideration is bringing very small children. It was very difficult controlling my 2 year old and keeping her occupied. They do provide high chairs if needed which helped a little. Once you are done painting it takes between 7-10 days for your pottery to be baked and ready for pick up. If your looking for some bonding time with the family with a piece of art that you can bring home with you, I recommend trying color me mine. See more..

Audra, the owner, has converted an old farm house into studio and retail space. You can take a class (fun, fun, fun!), or pick out something special from their gallery to buy and take home. The first time, I went with some friends. The second time, I took my kids along (ages 8, 11, and 15). We have painted at other ceramic places before, so this was not a new experience for us. Dana is so great. She is helpful when you need it, and she leaves you alone to enjoy your experience. too. There are so many things to choose from! If they don't have what you would like, they just might have a mold for it! They will pour you something for another visit! There are no studio fees. The price that is written on the bottom of the piece is the price you pay to complete the project. NO HIDDEN FEES! There is a $15 minimum. They run $10 minimum specials from time to time. If you don't finish your piece, you have 30 days to go back in as many times as you need to finish it! I think our pieces have been fired and ready for pick up within a week that we finished each time. There is off street parking...just a few spots in the lot next door. There are only 12 seats in the studio, I believe. So, make a reservation ahead of time! I recently called at the last minute and got lucky, but you really should try to plan ahead. They'll have your spot all cleaned off and waiting for you! AAA gets a 10% discount, I believe it was! Credit card accepted. No food or drink at the tables. I think they said that you could bring food or drink, but you'd have to enjoy it away from the painting area. We will definitely be back!See more..

We stopped in during the “free play/craft” period where there was a per-hour fee for any play/crafts made. There were a variety of crafts to choose from, including painting, beads & pipe cleaners, tracings & coloring, and more. There is also a play area with kitchen and more. There’s play-dough and kinetic sand too, that was fun. There is a large area upstairs for classes I heard, but I didn’t see it. There were clearly “regulars” that stopped in, plus newbies like us. My 6-yr old grandson enjoyed himself. You could easily spend 1-2 hours here. They also offer classes, so check those out if you’re interested-including sewing classes. See more..
