I thoroughly enjoyed the tour provided by The Amish Experience. I was able to do the Farmlands tour of the community, the Homestead and theatre experience. All the events began on time and the group that I was in was small so we were all able to ask questions without delaying our tour guide. I leaned so much about the Amish community and have a new appreciation for their way of life. Our tour operator Jim was delightful to listen with a tremendous amount of knowledge about the Amish people. Leroy is the best tour guide, he answered every single question that anyone on our tour had and he even asked questions if he had them and we answered to the best of our knowledge... He pointed out the different architectures of buildings what year they were built in... he would point out what was the dairy farm and what was this business and the covered bridge that we got to go on was the clincher of the whole trip I can't wait to come back and take another ride with him...See more..

My fiance, myself and my 9 year old daughter all live within 30 minutes of Lancaster and have experienced most of the Amish experiences (which are not really authentic), but this experience was different, I finally had the opportunity to sit down to a home cooked meal by a wonderful Amish woman and have a great conversation with the family. My 9 year old loved joining the kids in a soccer game after dinner. Phil was our guide and was so knowledgeable about the area and the Amish. I can't wait to take more of LoKals excursions. Wonderful insight into the life of the Amish. Susan answered all of our questions and more! Have been to Lancaster numerous times, and toured in the Ohio Amish area, but never New Wilmington. Glad we went. Took our son and his wife and their two children (ages 8 and 15) and they were very interested in Susan's lively narration as well.See more..

One of the best tours I have ever taken. If you want an deep understanding of Lancaster’s rich history take this tour. Randy is incredibly knowledgeable and willing to answer anything you can think of. Take the tour, see a bunch of incredible things and learn about some pretty amazing people.
