Our family of four booked a premium guided tour of the lower Yough on a Thursday. My husband and I haven’t rafted for 20+ years, and our kids (12 and 15) had never gone before. We had an AMAZING experience. Brandon was our guide and expertly steered us through the rapids - we were just the “motor” and he would tell us when and how to paddle. It made the trip stress free so we could focus on the fun of the rapids and relax on the quiet parts. We also stopped at Cucumber Falls, which was a short hike from the river. If you decide to hike, make sure that your water shoes have good treads because some of the rocky spots are steep and slick. Brandon brought us bottled water and Gatorades and we ordered boxed lunches a few days in advance. Our youngest loved the trip so much that she wants to go back for her birthday in a few weeks. Highly recommended! See more..

This was my first guided group cycling adventure and I can’t say enough good things about the 6 day Michigan Islands, Trails, & Dunes Bicycle Tour. The guides (‘Team Dave’) were helpful, informative, friendly, humorous, and worked extremely well together and always in sync. They made sure everyone was comfortable and that the bikes were in good working order. They were always smiling and upbeat and provided plenty of support stops each day. The lodging was excellent and the included meals were healthy with plenty of choices for every taste. I especially loved the rotisserie chicken to be used in a choice of salads and/or sandwiches. The tour offered the perfect mix of group and on-our-own meals. Mackinac Island is a gem of a bygone era, and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is spectacular. Petoskey, along the shores of Traverse Bay, offers gorgeous sunsets by the pier. I loved the little towns we cycled through, especially the vacation cottages and homes along Crystal Lake to Beulah on Day 6. We flew into Traverse City and I recommend staying an extra day to experience all this town has to offer – antique shops, ice cream, great restaurants, lakeside parks, famers’ market, and shops. The Michigan weather in August was perfect with 80F degree days & 60F degree evenings. Again, kudos to Wilderness Voyageurs and ‘Team Dave’ for a delightful cycling vacation. See more..

Bob was our tour guide and he did a lot to enhance our experience. He told detailed stories about the main leaders of the battle. He answered our questions and kept our large group moving. There were four of us and we brought our own electric bikes which also made our experience more enjoyable. Bob was amazing with his depth of knowledge of the three day battle and his ability to give long quotes that shared the war leader's own words with us. Very much enjoyed by us four. See more..

We parked at the lot just outside of Breezewood and walked up the paved on ramp. It was a 1.5 mile walk to the tunnel. My only complaint about the walk was the sun was very hot the day we were there so walked in the other lane that was grown up more just to stay in the shade. On the walk back there was no shade. The tunnel was cool! Almost apoplectic like being in a mad max movie without all the vehicles. A lot of nasty stuff painted on the old road and tunnel that is not appropriate for young children. We enjoyed our time here and would have love to have walked to the 2nd tunnel but it was too hot and we were not up for another 5 mile walk. On a bike would not have been so bad. Make sure you bring lights for the tunnels. It’s pretty dark in the middle If your riding a bike through the tunnel watch out for all the debris. See more..

Mike from Sacred Rides is a top tier guide that provided a wonderful day of riding the best single track in Michaux State Forest. A well designed ride, varied terrain, and a delicious lunch. Our group had so much fun we stayed in the parking lot post ride with Mike and Erin, relaxing, snacking, and discussing the days adventures for another hour despite just meeting that morning. I highly recommend Sacred Rides for anyone coming to the area and wanting to have fun on the trails. See more..

My husband and I spent the day with Cody and will cherish this experience forever. There was nothing we had to do but show up. Cody explained everything to us and he even captured the entire day with his camera. All we had to do was enjoy the beauty of God's creation. The day commenced with am amazing dinner cooked over an open flame by Cody himself. We will be back again for another adventure. See more..
