    Took the ferry today across and back. Nice calm day for the trip although the river is very low this time of year. I missed a photo opportunity when a flock of geese flew low right over the front of the boat, but it will remain in my memory. We didn't take the car over this trip to allow others that were waiting to get across on their trips. The boat kept the vehicle capacity today to 3 because of conditions. I understand they can haul up to 4 under better water depths. The captain and mates did a great job keeping us afloat and also a narrative about the history of the ferry. On the Millersburg side there is a nice little park to visit as well. On the Liverpool side there's a campground with plenty amenities if you're travelling through and want to camp a few days. The river is about a mile wide at this point and the trip about 20 minutes with a round trip about an hour allowing for loading and unloading. See more..
