    Erie Zoo image
Arrived in town early the last Friday of August so I decided to visit the zoo. Although relatively small, the zoo, it's animals and the facilities all seemed excellent. It was a hot day, so many of the animals were hidden in the shaded areas, or in their dens often out of the public's view. The cost was $12, but for an extra fee, there was a mini train ride available to take visitors around the zoo to see the various animals in their facilities. There was a map available to help navigate your way around the zoo and free parking was available directly across from the zoo's entrance. My visit lasted about 1 1/2 hours including about a 5 minute visit to the gift shop. See more..

    - Very nice sanctuary for the animals

T & D's Cats of the World image
Great sanctuary. Tigers, bears, monkeys, deer, and so much more. They all have beautiful enclosures that give them a sense of being in the wild. Nice paths to walk around with numerous people positioned at different locations to answer questions. There is an aviary as well but it was closed during our visit. Nice small gift shop. They do ask that you don’t make noises at the animals or run or be loud so you don’t stress them out. Allow plenty of time to stroll through. There were lots of cars when we were there but it didn’t feel crowded at all. There is also an area with picnic baskets. Port-a-potties. See more..
  15. 4.5 Keystone Safari (52 reviews)
    - A little expensive for a family of 4 but definitely fun and worth it.

    Keystone Safari image
This place is a little expensive once you purchase entrance to the drive thru safari, walk thru safari and feed wrist bands and buckets of food for the drive thru animals for a family of 4. I think it came to $130 dollars or so. BUT we were on vacation so we went ahead and did it. Our family had tons of fun feeding and petting the animals. I loved the up close feel with them. I even got a bath from bison in the drive thru safari. Yuck but hilarious for my family. The park is clean and the animals look well taken care of there. Definitely recommend if you have the money. Double Diamond Deer Ranch image
I was very impressed with my visit to the Double Diamond Deer Ranch. They have many deer throughout the park which extends far into the woods. They have numerous deer on the ranch and a variety of enclosures. Staff was excellent and allowed children the opportunity to help bottle-feed the baby deer. They also offer a play area for children with a variety of slides from a firetruck and other vehicles. A wild animal museum is attached to the gift shop and main building. Bottom Line: Highly Recommend See more..
