The Oakes Museum is truly a hidden gem. We live a few miles from the museum and never knew of it's existence. It is on the grounds of Messiah College (soon to be Messiah University) and is part of the school. You won't be disappointed with a visit to this museum. See more..

    - The Time Machine
Tuesday: Spent 1-2 hours Natural History Museums
Walking into this hidden gem of a museum is like entering a time tunnel and stepping out into a museum Natural History at least 100 years ago. With the incredibly wonderful wooden cases and displays as well as the lecture hall and Library I can not believe some movie company hasn't used it for a set in a period movie!!! WELL WORTH going to. - A lot of really neat old stuff.
Speciality Museums • Natural History Museums • History Museums
Great collection of very old things. During warmer weather they will offer outdoor activities. They have horses who will be pulling many of the horse drawn vehicles. Many of the larger items are farming related. You can keep yourself occupied for several hours looking at the way things were. See more..
  5. 3.0 Lithuanian Museum and Cultural Center (1 review)
    - interesting items of Lithuanian history
    Natural History Museums
This used to be the former rectory for the priests of the Annunciation BVM church next door. Local residents set up this 1 room museum loaded with items that were brought from Lithuania when immigrants came to the area as early as 1913. A bit musty smell from the old books, clothing and artifacts but still worthwhile to view the many items of interest. there is also a diorama of the "Hill of crosses" and a display of the medallions worn by members of the Knights of Lithuania and story to go with them. Dolls, amber pieces, photos, books, paintings - you just feel the history of these beautiful people! See more..
