Hard to believe this was a daily commute for Quarry workers! Beautiful views as you climb the steps both up and down; just make sure to stop for those views! The stone steps are uneven heights so you need to pay attention. Glad I learned after my trip up and back that the day before someone had to be evacuated after falling on the way down; could easily happen! Not recommended for anyone with leg or knee issues; my boyfriend started to climb the steps and friendly hikers returning down said it would be too difficult. Yes, he did listen and waited by the car as I did the climb up and back with lots of pictures for him to enjoy :D See more..

Stayed here on a solo trip. A site on the creek in the lower campground. Quiet, peaceful, and beautiful are only a start to describe this place. Sites are good space wise. 30amp electric available at most sites. Bathhouse was kept clean. Only issue is the shower water is on a 7 second timer when you press the button. If they could bump that up to 20 seconds would be great. For mid July the temperatures were mid to upper 80’s. Very few bugs on this trip. Just the chirping of birds all day. I’ll definitely be coming back here in the future. See more..

Went here very early on a Saturday morning. Parking is a short walk away from the entrance to the trail. It's a little awkward because you're walking right beside Route 22 (William Penn Hwy). The steps start off easy. There is a nice sign that tells the history of the steps and area. After that it's go time, lol. It was so cool to climb out of the fog and look out over the area. Beautiful views! It's a pretty challenging climb going up and being careful coming back down, but well worth it. It took us roughly about an hour, and we stopped a few times to take pictures and rest a bit, lol. See more..
