Davenport Fruit Farm Cidery and Winery image
I had heard of this place for years after living in the area and finally had the chance to visit for the first time a few weeks ago. It is absolutely beautiful in the fall. There are rows and rows of apple orchards as well as a little pond, all open for pictures and exploring. The cidery and winery itself, the prices are awesome. I think it's 6 dollars for a glass of cider and there's so many different kinds. They let you also sample them to find one you like. There is also a flight option if you want to try a bunch at the same time, and even that price was pretty good. The servers were super friendly and there is food available for purchase, which we did purchase. There was indoor and outdoor seating, all spread out for social distancing, which I appreciated. The music playing was perfect. This was the perfect hidden gem! I can't wait to go back again and would recommend the experience to anyone! See more..

This is a neighborhood gem of a wine bar. Two guys with full time jobs elsewhere get grapes from near and far to make fabulous wines. The intimate tasting room offers flights and glasses of wine, delicious pizza, and a charcuterie board at reasonable prices. There is some parking in their private lot and plenty of street parking. If you are from out of town, you can get to hear authentic Delco accents, as has been featured in the show, Mare of Eastown. It's very close to PHL airport. See more..

    - We love this place!
Tuesday: Spent 1-2 hours Wine Bars
We love this place! We've gone twice so far and each time is awesome. The owner and her husband are always there and are very friendly and love talking with their customers. They definitely have some regulars and it feels like a bunch of friends hanging out when you go. It's such a friendly atmosphere. The wine is excellent and we usually end up trying a few. You can do a wine flight, purchase by the glass or purchase bottles to open while there or purchase bottles to take home. The place is beautiful and always very clean. You can tell they put a lot of love into what they do. We recently did a wine and chocolate pairing (3 wines and 3 chocolates for $12). The chocolates and wines were paired perfectly and the chocolate was made a few stores down! If the chocolate store (Bella Faccias) is opened when you're there you can even purchase some chocolates to bring back and enjoy with your wine. It's so nice to have a local place like this. We usually travel quite a distance to go to wineries, but now that we know how great this place is we don't have to anymore. They also have local beers and mixed drinks so if you're not a fan of wine they still have lots to offer! See more..
  13. 5.0 D & O Wine Cellars (1 review)
    - Local Wine Cellar
Tuesday: Spent 1-2 hours Wineries & Vineyards • Wine Bars
We planned to visit the wine cellar after we heard about the bluegrass jam on Thursday nights. The winery is not on site but it is made nearby by the owner. I'm not a wine expert but I do know the Merlot I tried was very nice. No chemical or any other off tastes were noted. I would say there are at least 20 different wines available. The facility has numerous tables and is decorated nicely. No food is available but bring your own snacks. Ordering in is also acceptable. There is a nice backroom with barn doors opening to the main room. Events like scheduled entertainment, open mic nights or bluegrass jams can take place there. I definitely will be back for the wine AND some really good pickin! See more..
  14. 4.0 Purple Cow Winery (1 review)
    - Slushies
Spent < 1 hour Wine Bars
So we visited at probably the most inopportune time which was during the Covid-19 pandemic. We love local wine and had been seeing a bunch of friends post about this winery. This past weekend they were advertising blue raspberry and mango wine slushies. If you know anything about me and my boyfriend you would know that I love mango and he loves blue raspberry, so we decided to drive out there for a visit. No one was allowed out of their cars and they offered curbside service. The staff were very efficient and it was very difficult for them to keep up with the demand of incessant cars that kept pulling up, but they were pleasant and excited to serve us. We did order 1 of each flavor of slushie and they were incredible. We also ordered 2 bottles of wine to go without sampling them first. If they are as delightful as the slushies we will be more than pleased and we are very enthusiastic to try them. See more..
