I've been here a few times in the past, but recently went here for a few quick rounds with my husband. This was my first visit there in close to ten years. There's a lot of seating and tables and plenty of lanes! Great for groups of all sizes. The staff member at the counter was friendly. There is the Sinkhole attached to the alley, so you can get bar beverages that are decently priced. There is a concession stand and the food, like any alley it seems, is kind of overpriced--at least the soda! They do offer a lot of things throughout the week, like discount bowling nights on Thursday, glow-bowling, etc. Can be super affordable but even $8 a game isn't bad. Many bowling lanes in PA seem to be stuck in the 1990s. Colonial Lanes fits that bill. The lanes themselves are well maintained and everything appears to be functional, but it looks like they haven’t invested in anything in a very long time. There is auto scoring (again using the same software from the 90’s), shoes available for rent, pool tables, and pro shop. We were there on a Friday evening and it wasn’t packed but active and the people there all seemed to be there to bowl and enjoy their time. Important note: cash only, no cards accepted. The only thing not stuck in the time warp is the price. Three games will run you just over $10 per person, not including shoe rental.See more..

I've had 2 high school group parties here, and both were great. Owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Lanes are brand new and beautiful. The decor and atmosphere is a relic from the 1950's, but that's not a detractor, it's quaint, in a non-neon, retro kind of way. There's also something neat about manually keeping your score. (The most powerful computer in the world isn't in your hand, it's above your shoulders!) If you're looking for a neon bowling alley, with all modern equipment, this isn't your place. Andy explained how everything would happen and checked on us several times during the evening to make sure we were satisfied. Our server, Ivy, was fantastic, always right on que when we needed additional drinks or food. Our package included chicken fingers - very good, and pizza - seemingly frozen pizza they cooked in a regular oven. But, in my opinion, there is no such thing as bad pizza.
