My fiance, myself and my 9 year old daughter all live within 30 minutes of Lancaster and have experienced most of the Amish experiences (which are not really authentic), but this experience was different, I finally had the opportunity to sit down to a home cooked meal by a wonderful Amish woman and have a great conversation with the family. My 9 year old loved joining the kids in a soccer game after dinner. Phil was our guide and was so knowledgeable about the area and the Amish. I can't wait to take more of LoKals excursions. Greeted by a staff member at front of store and made us each an expresso before class started. Facility is clean, bright, and the chef running the class was friendly and informative. We learned each stage in making croissants from scratch and we're given complete written instructions. Our class was small so each stage was very hands on. We made plain, savory and sweet croissants and each of us took home a dozen delicious croissants. While they were baking we were given time to shop the front store and received a discount on any purchases made. We also received a discount for booking any additional classes. I highly recommend. I'm taking my daughter this week for a Thai cooking class.See more..

Wife and I scheduled a class for something different to do on couples day. Seemed like a great idea and we figured we could learn something new. The class was not overly lengthy, lasting about an hour. We assumed one of the several two person work stations and immediately began. Turns out the class was GREAT! Our instructor led us step by step through the preparation phase and then the cooking of the food. Then we got to eat our creation, and it was fantastic. Along the way, we were presented with lots of tips and tricks which was a wonderful surprise. Kudos to the staff! Also the store has a good selection of kitchen ware.
