This was a stop with three adults and two children under 7 for the boat tour only. The only reason why a star was docked is because the childrens’ admission price should not be over $10! The adult admission is pricey, but I understand they’re trying to make money. The boat tour was a good 45 minutes and we got to see amazing views. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and punny. That’s right, punny, not funny! Tip: Do not take very young children on this tour; if they cry you can’t stand up in the boat to console them. Also, their cries will echo through the cave and ruin the experience for others. The tour guide was hard to hear anyway the further away you were from him and the motor. See more..

We went on the Hiawatha Dinner Cruise. Dinner was catered by Hillside Catering. From the charcuterie cones and the caprese skewers appetizers, berries and feta salad to the chicken picata and the carved bistro tenderloin, everything was top shelf quality and so delicious. The crew of the Hiawatha were personable, funny, and extremely accommodating. After dinner we ventured to the upper level and experienced beautiful scenery and a gorgeous sunset. As a dad of two special needs fellows, I have the privilege in "appreciating" God's gift of this life with two souls, who don't have expectations, yet "see" the world in ways that I'll never fully comprehend. Due to what was supposed to be heavy weather, we were the only ones who showed up for the Sunset tour. The kindness, compassion, and attention to my boys from first mate Amy and captain Dave was simply beautiful. The sunset was one of God's many a masterpiece, but what this typist won't forget were the inside out smiles of my children. Amy and Dave showed the acceptance of Christ in the ways in which they interacted my boys; they most likely do not even realize, but it was a gift most cherished to spend some time with them, to take a step back and soak in such God given kindness. We rode the perimeter of the lake on this 2 hour adventure and saw all the folks enjoying the lake that day. The boat is a throw back to the 50's or 60's. There is no air conditioning aboard the boat so find your best spot and enjoy the breeze. The homes along the shores are amazingly gorgeous!
