Nice Course for the Average Golfer

This course has been around for many years and has 27 holes, 9 of which are from the early years when it was an 18 hole course. The course is in very good shape with excellent greens. There are quite a few trees on the course, but mostly pine trees which have been raised and mostly kept clean underneath for ease of finding that errant shot. There are several very challenging and scenic holes on the back 9, but fir the most part the course is fairly open. Nice course and highly recommend it.

    Non-Golfer
I am not a golfer but my sister-in-law worked in the club house until retirement and a good friend works in maintenance. This public facility has 2 courses. You may rent carts or walk. They also have places for group outings. The township police use the facility for their group outing. There are usually many cars in the parking lot. (Ignore the date in the 'travel' field.)

Nice Layout / Not so for condition
I have played Arrowhead GC in Douglassville numerous times throughout the years. It is a 27 hole venue, with the regular 18 holes across the street. The nine hole on the same side as the clubhouse is a nice warm up, with basically straight holes with 2 doglegs left, mostly up & down fairways. A little unusual to have large boulders in the fairway though (?) The 18 holes across the street start off with straight par 5's. The rest are a nice mixture of holes. Short & long par 3's. Doglegs left & Water holes. Note... there are no dogleg rights. NOW FOR THE NEGITIVES... Like I said, Large boulders in fairway on the 9 hole course. Conditioning on the course is bare minimum. Rough & fairways cut the same. Slow greens. Bathrooms dirty in another building nearby. Negitive attitude by owners in clubhouse. Seem like you are bothering them. We played in a scramble tournament there last year & will probably not play in another. They had golf carts lined up bumper to bumper, right next to each other. Could hardly get bags or yourself onto cart. No keys in cart. The daughter came around and you had to fill out a form that you had to print your name & address & sign before she gave you a key. Our one person just signed the form. I saw her look at it, put it back on cart and walked away. Later she came around & said you need to fill it ALL out! (WE ARE IN A TOURNAMENT! I never heard of such a thing, Like we are going to ride off & keep the cart.) I rode the course the week before the tournament with one of my fellow players. He signed for the cart & was charged a $5 deposit fee.(?) Upon finishing we returned the cart & went into the clubhouse for his deposit. They were putting carts away, going in & out of the clubhouse. She saw us standing there by the register & TOTALLY ignored us! We had to say "Um...Excuse me...We need our deposit back?) So the Average rating is for course layout ONLY, and what the course could be!
