This is such a beautiful trail ! There are so many places to ride to and to stop along the way as well. The views of the little traverse bay are breathtaking ! We rode from downtown petoskey to downtown harbor springs . We brought our dog in a little bike trailer and he was even able to get out and enjoy the dog beach in harbor springs ! You can make an entire day of it stopping at shops and breweries along the way . Plenty of options that have socially distanced outdoor patios . This is a wonderful activity to do given the current pandemic as well !See more..

5.0Falling Waters Trail(116 reviews) - Valerie Stover, Broker/Owner Val Stover Real Estate Team Biking Trails
My dad, John Stover, used to take my sister and me on mountain bikes down this old rail to the Wooden Spoon in Concord for breakfast. We’d ride through Bunches of burrs and prickers and of course lots of mud! It was fun at the time, but I am also very content with the new much easier & smoother paved version at this point in my life. This is a great place to ride or walk/ run for all ages and ability levels. It is so nice not to have to worry about getting hit by a car!!! These trails are awesome and I love that Jackson continues to expand the trail system. I think it’s been a fantastic improvement to our community and has opened new and safe opportunities to get outside and enjoy nature. It is the best to see older and younger people out and about enjoying the trails. I included a painting I did about 10 years ago of my daughter and husband riding on this very trail, just west of Weatherwax Rd.See more..
Love having this so close. Great for walking, bike riding, or walking the dogs. Well kept trails with mostly nice pavement. Lots of different terrain depending on where you are. Nice tree canopy in sections North of Rockford which open up into nice scenery and fields. Some hills but nothing horrible. A good work out or just a leisurely stroll it is a nice setting.See more..
4.0Window on the Waterfront(74 reviews) - What a hidden gem! Spent 1-2 hours Biking Trails • Parks • Jogging Paths & Tracks
This wasn’t the easiest part to find the entrance and parking, but once we got in and were able to connect the trail lengths, we thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s a charming park and I wouldn’t mind going back to bicycle the areas we didn’t get to. There are plenty of benches along the way, and partially shaded walkways.See more..
4.5Thomas Edison Parkway Boardwalk(68 reviews) - A great place to watch the sun and water Spent 1-2 hours Biking Trails • Scenic Drives • Jogging Paths & Tracks
This is a really beautiful park with a boardwalk, benches a boxcar, a nice view of Canada and a statue of Thomas Edison himself. It’s a gorgeous place to exercise, fish or just sit and watch the sun, the boats and the beautiful blue water where Lake Huron meets the St. Clair River. We are from the Erie County, Ohio area, where Edison was born, so we got to compare the statues! See more..
The trail runs along the lake and is really nice. It went basically from my hotel all around the water way leading to the lake. I liked that I could ride to the beach park. It is off the road mostly so that is really nice. I couldn't find a bike rental place, but I am sure there is one somewhere. Luckily I had brought mine planning on riding the trail. See more..
4.5Lower Huron Metropark(60 reviews) - Great bike trails Sunday: 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM Biking Trails • Parks
We went there for the bike trail. It had a good write up. It really was nice. You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere when you are right around the corner from home. We biked all the way to Lake erie, a 50 mile round trip. Passed thru 3 or 4 other metroparks. Stopped for lunch in Flatrock. A totally fun time.See more..

4.5Kalamazoo River Valley Trail(25 reviews) - Beautiful trail Spent 2-3 hours Biking Trails • Jogging Paths & Tracks
We've biked it from down town; and from across the street from La-Haven Trail. Let weekend we walked it from the north end about 5 miles. Forest, grasslands from that end. More urban from the other. Preferred the northern end. Paved and well maintained.See more..

4.5North Western State Trail(19 reviews) - Brand New Trail Spent < 1 hour Biking Trails • Jogging Paths & Tracks
Just rode this trail yesterday the 15 miles RT from Petoskey to Alanson. It connects nicely to the Wheelway in Petoskey at the Spring Lake Park with lots of shaded parking, modern restrooms and a bike repair kiosk. Petoskey State Park and downtown Petoskey are nearby. The trail is all asphalt and is flat all the way. There is a cute lending library just outside Petoskey before you get to the lake viewing area. See the attached photo. It goes right by the Oden Fish Hatchery where you can purchase food for 25 cents to feed the trout. There are restrooms and a little gift shop. The tour is great as well. The only thing I did not like was the closeness to 31 just before you get to Alanson. It was pretty noisy and not as scenic as other parts of the trail. Definitely worth a ride.See more..
Quiet and serene place to enjoy a nice walk or bike ride. Some areas need resurfacing but it’s a beautiful trail with benches spaced out if you need to rest. The areas with heavy tree cover lowers ambient temperature a few degrees if very hot out. Critters occasionally crossing the path or a turtle sunning itself and if timed right, occasionally a deer will join you.See more..

Billed as Michigan’s Dirt Roller Coaster, this trail is an amazing resource. Bikers and hikers travel in opposite directions. Make sure you go the right way. Lots of jumps and up and down. Beginners should try the Green Loop first. Hikers should avoid these trails on summer weekends.See more..
4.5Linear Park(8 reviews) - Great urban trail that surrounds you with art, architecture, and history!! Biking Trails • Jogging Paths & Tracks
Visiting downtown Battle Creek for the history and art and architecture, we made our way to the river and walked a mile of Linear Park, enjoying being by the water, the greenery, the colorful murals, the sculptures, and the surrounding buildings. We sat on a bench for a little while, watching dogwalkers, families biking together, friends walking together, an engaged couple taking photos! Highlights include the Kellogg House Park is a highlight with both the prairie-style Kellogg House and the Underground Railroad Monument by Ed Dwight and adjacent gardens and river view; the Michigan Central Station railroad depot (now Clara's on the River), and the downtown skyline. Happy to see a George Rickey sculpture on the terrace behind the Kellogg's World Headquarters.See more..
4.5Portland Riverwalk(7 reviews) - The jewel of Portland Spent 1-2 hours Biking Trails • Hiking Trails
The River Trail system in Portland is one of the finest assets of the city. If you walk the entire trail, it's over 10 miles long. It loops through most of the parks in the city; at least half of it runs adjacent to the Grand or Lookingglass Rivers. No matter what time of day you walk it, you have a chance of seeing the deer who live nearby. They are so accustomed to walkers that they stand and stare---seemingly unfrightened. See more..

5.0Huron Sunrise Trail(6 reviews) - Great bike path Sunday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent 1-2 hours Biking Trails • Hiking Trails
This is a wonderful paved bike path that extends from downtown Rogers City to the 40 mile Point light house North of town (about 10 miles). Some of the path goes right along the Lake Huron shore and part through the woods. The Hoeft State park is about at the halfway point and park visitors use this a lot. Since most of the path is fairly flat it is a great ride for kids.See more..

Beautiful. Great paved trail. Many signs to keep you informed about your location and distance to next stop. Several porta potties that were clean. 5.0North Hydro Park(1 review) - This hidden gem of a park is the best small picnic area in Ypsi. Bodies of Water • Biking Trails • Parks I live in the area and come to this park on walks all the time so I've seen it at many different times of the day and many days of the week. There is a great picnic pavilion with tables and grills and a well-maintained restroom building. While it's always been very quiet when I've visited, perfect for a nice quiet place to read a book and relax, for those who are interested in more activity you can fish in the Huron River or use the newly built launch area to launch your kayak or canoe or row-boat. It's a great place for bringing small kids if you want to teach them to fish, and a great place to put in on the River. There is a path all the way around the park with a boardwalk down to the river just below Ford Lake Dam. Bring a picnic, bring the family, bring a blanket and a fishing rod and a kayak. set up your lawn games for a family get-together. If you're looking to get back to nature, this is your location.See more..
