    S. Kamphuis Blueberries image
We were in Holland for a soccer camp on a Monday. We wanted to get blueberries while we were out. I am not very familiar with the area so I googled blueberry farms and S. Kamphuis was closest to where we were. We arrived and it didn't look like they were open so I checked online again and realized that they didn't open for the season until later that week. As I realized that, a gentleman came to my window and I explained we didn't realize they hadn't opened yet. He said "we have blueberries, give me five minutes and we will have some for you". Sure enough, a few minutes later, they were weighing and boxing up our blueberries for us! The blueberries were delicious, the price was great, and the friendly service was amazing. We live about an hour from Holland but will go out of our way to get blueberries here again. See more..

My daughter and I have picked fruit at Gary Crane's Fruit Farm near Fennville, MI several times over a few years. We have had only very good experiences. This time we picked Shiro plums and Transparent Apples. The plums were a new variety for us. They were juicy and quite tasty. We ate them as fresh fruit. The apples cooked into mushy applesauce just as expected. I like some red-hots added to the apple sauce for a spice flavor and a pretty pink color. Also available for picking that day were peaches and red raspberries. We succeeded in picking the desired amount leaving beautiful plums and apples for others. See more..
