The Blue Water Bridge is simply stunning for the way it looks and the views across the St. Clair River when crossing the bridge. We crossed the bridge twice over the weekend when driving to and from Toronto during our one day Michigan trip. During our return we saw a ship passing under the bridge. We could not capture the views because there are signs on the bridge not to use one’s cellphone. Not sure if this covers cameras but we preferred to play safe and take no photographs. The parks and other tourist areas under the bridge must be very nice to visit but we left this for another time. Munir D. See more..

    Croswell Swinging Bridge image
On our way back home from a day in MIchigan's Thumb, we stopped by the Swinging Bridge in Croswell. It had been years since our last visit. And this one did not disappoint! Walking over the bridge is a bit of a thrill, especially when others are on the bridge and it's swinging ever so slightly!! On this perfect June evening about 7pm, as the sun was starting to go down behind the tall trees, the sunlight on the water, along with the beautiful blue sky reflecting up at us, and some water lily pads beneath us near the shoreline made for the most beautiful scene, reminiscent of Monet's water lilies paintings! Definitely a nice place to stop and linger.... Bring out your lawn chairs and a picnic blanket to relax and enjoy some snacks. Plenty of room for the family to play in the park too!! See more..

  7. 5.0 Draper-Houston Meadows Preserve (1 review)
    - A nice place to wander around
Spent 1-2 hours Piers & Boardwalks • Bridges • Scenic Walking Areas
I've been out here three times to check it out as a walking place for our walking club. There are several interconnected trails which go through the woods and fields. The trail crosses a metal bridge and there are a few boardwalks too. Small hills are easily walkable. Strollers and wagons will have difficulty in places. Can be wet after rains and Spring thaw.
