Our extended family has been holding an annual float with J&J's since they opened. An absolute amazing way to spend a day. J and J's is the best. The equipment is clean and maintained and the Muskegon River views are beautiful. Our group ranges in age from 8 to 60 and we all love it. See more..

Great trip on a beautiful river. Going alone was a bit of a challenge because of cool northwesterly wind but there was no hurry. See more..

  4. 5.0 Chinook Campground (2 reviews)
    - 5 hours of laziness
River Rafting & Tubing • Boat Rentals
    Chinook Campground image
Chinook campground is hidden jem where else can you spend 3 to 5 hours floating down a river and only hear the river and the birds. You won’t be able to navigate to it on your cellphone so write down detailed directions to follow. Very inexpensive for our group of 4 with lounge chair tubes less than $70. A pizza place if you are hungry after you get off the river and a general store in case you forgot to bring something. Oh yes you can camp there to. See more..

    - Kayaking the Rifle River
    River Rafting & Tubing
Me, my wife and 12 and 9 year old daughters had a great time paddling down the Rifle River in tandem kayaks. The shuttle driver was efficient in loading us all and getting us dropped off at the put in point. It took about 2 hours on the water for the trip from the Stoddard Access Site with a 10 minute stop on a sand bar for a picnic lunch we packed. Bring sunscreen and bugspray. Also a rash guard and sun hat if you're pasty like me. It's a pretty slow river, so plan on lots of paddling to make the trip in time. You can dawdle if you want, but they ask everyone to be off the river around 5p which was not an issue for us. There's a small attached gift shop/ supply store in case you forget anything for your trip. Have fun! See more..
