A great place to gather, giggle and entertain the kids. The snack menu is quite nice and the prices are very reasonable. It's everything you'd expect from a small-town bowling alley, right down to the friendly patrons. I do wish that there was the option of keeping score on paper so we could teach the kids how to keep score. Celebrated our grandson's 6th Birthday with a family & friends party. When we entered and found it dark inside - with black lights on, I was wondering what our son had gotten us into! We were greeted as we entered and friendly staff directed us to the lanes, familiar with the names of the multiple parties taking place. Very helpful, friendly service - from the front desk to the food counter to general attentive staff. The food was good (beyond our expectations) prices were reasonable, and the facility was clean. Shannon here clearly doesn't understand bowling. The lanes are reserved for the league, not for you, or anyone else to open bowl. This means you and your thoughts on the situation are wrong. Leagues get freshly oiled lanes to start on. These aren't for you and your house ball rolling friends to wreck the oil before the league. Therefore, the waiting list is for the lanes that are available to open bowlers. Go grab a drink, buy your top shelf crap, eat some food, tip your servers while you wait patiently for your lane just like everyone else.See more..

It wasn't to long ago almost every city in america had a movie theater and / or a bowling alley. Now these days you would be lucky to have one. We are lucky to have one of the best places to bowl in the area. Chelsea lanes has that historic feel with modern amenities (Computer scoring, TV's, glo bowl, food, drinks and more). My family bowled last Saturday night at a Chelsea Chamber event and it was one of the best times we have had in awhile. While I was bowling, it brought me back to the days when I was a kid on playing in my first bowling league (1979) and the time (On a league while I was in college) I was one frame away from a perfect game. If i could recommend anything to Thunderbowl id recommend updating their website. So people have an idea of what all Thunderbowl is capable of. We spent about 1100 and had a beautiful buffet with several goods layed out so professionally. Food was delicious. Dessert too! Had our own private bar in the cosmo section of the alley. Arcade games were free to kids as part of our package. We bowled, we ate, we drank, we played, we socialized and we were MERRY!! They did an outstanding job. The senior rates are great I can do for games for $7.20 and a pop a $10 investment every time I go makes it affordable. The people who work there treat me well and I love the lighting and synthetic lanes my best scores happen here. I am new back into bowling and Bob the owner has graciously helped me improve my game. They have a pro-shop for all your needs I bought an inexpensive second ball there. I can't wait until they open again I miss bowling 2-3 times a week there.See more..

This place offered this and allowed you to make a reservation. Initially I found the people behind the counter kind of surly . Later when I came back to buy more time the man who helped me was really surly . I guess prices are what you expect for a Friday evening . We paid by the hour best value for 4 of us then bought an additional hour which allowed us to get 3 games in . It got busy with some kids parties and other open bowlers.
