We ate at local restaurants and ate delicious excellent meals at Oscar and Joey’s roadhouse in nearby Birch Run and paid way under what you’d pay for one meal at The Inn….we bought 2 meals for almost the price of one there! Dead Creek Saloon in Frankenmuth also good for for reasonable prices. Frankenmuth Brewery was also a great place to eat and have a beer or two! This place has the best toffee... and they let you sample it before you buy. I think I tried almost every one during our stay and took home a huge bag to put in the freezer. The mall itself is great, it is walkable, there are several benches to take breaks, things for the kids to do, and more. The shops range from local small businesses all the way up to your big chain stores and restaurants. Several times a year there are activities at The Village of RH, like when they light up the mall Christmas lights and tree, trick or treating for the kids, Easter Bunny visits and more, some of these activities close down the streets in the mall. As a matter of fact, the items that appealed to us most were found on our second time through. We ended up purchasing an old travel trunk and a small table (cigarette table). I recommend haggling as the employees had no problem knocking off 5-10%. We found other items that we plan to go back and pick up as well. See photos. This is such a fun and unique store! The spud theme is all over by the vintage Mr Potato Head toys which I love!! But the real treasure is the items inside!! You will find beautiful paintings, interesting cloths, very different decor, and hand made one of a kind items!! Staff is super friendly and very helpful. There are two floors so don’t miss the basement! In the same building is the new bearded dogg lounge and the chef there is of farm to table mindset and just a spectacular cook!! Self serve from barrels. You can get taste samples if you want. Staff was very friendly and happy to explain anything. Have never had anything that wasn't good. They also have vacuum packed selections which can be useful for sending as a gift. It is about $32/lb. A half pound will cover a dozen or so good size pieces.See more..

An enjoyable outing that doesn't take all day to get to. Tons of things to look at both new and old. It's largely indoors so if it's a bad weather day, it doesn't spoil your plans. There's a section with Christmas décor, upstairs has Halloween and the "boutique" section is guaranteed to bring on that "awwwe" moment. It's just a cute place! Across the lot is the antique store to bring back memories of grandma's house. There's a small food area and cider, donuts and ice cream can be enjoyed.
