Historic building and location, quaint general store with wonderful treasures — and THE BEST ice cream - if you value delicious, creamy, flavor packed ice cream, shakes, malts. Homemade and a supplier brand is in the freezer waiting for you from spring till fall. Portions? We’ll leave that “little” surprise for you to discover for yourself! Bring a Tupperware or container of some sort unless you plan to share with 4 friends! A true treasure hidden away in Grindstone City. A must see even if you’re lactose-free...they serve ‘sherbet’ too. Can’t wait till they open for the season!!!

Great Ice Cream!
I rented a bike in Port Austin, and was told I needed to try the ice cream at Grindstone General Store. I didn't bother checking the hours, and ended up getting to Grindstone city around 10:00AM, so I had to wait around an hour before the General Store opened. However, the chocolate/peanut butter ice cream was worth the wait!! Excellent!

A MUST GO TO FOR ICE CREAM
WOW-WOW-WOW is all I can say, This is a hidden gem. HUGE ice cream cones- super cheap. I mean GIANT servings! The kids will love this place. Can get very busy, but soooo worth the wait. Very friendly staff and the owner was there working as well.
