Great Greenhouse
As a life long home gardener I appreciate the variety of their consistently great produce .As a consumer I love their unrivaled prices. The corn alone is worth the trip from Livonia. Add in the amazing staff and there is no reason to go anywhere else.

Looking for our dinner menu
Block's has been an area standard for as long as I can remember( since 1976 when my parents moved downriver). They have acres of greenhouses and in late April, it is packed with people looking for plants and flowers for their landscaping and garden projects. My fiancé and I went looking for items for an old fashioned seafood boil, namely the fresh sweet corn and baby red skin potatoes. As always, I wound up getting fresh strawberries, apples, peaches and an assortment of other vegetables I needed for my pantry. $30 bought a cart full of fresh locally grown produce and the boil was epic as always. If you get the chance this summer, stop up at the corner of Eureka and Middlebelt and see what all the hype is about. Bring your patience and a positive attitude, this market is very popular and therefore very busy. Parking is at a premium at times especially on the weekends, but don't let that deter you from visiting one of the downriver areas best kept secrets.
