We took Jasper the Adventure Dog with us for a ride on the Bavarian Belle. This was a wonderful trip. Jasper enjoyed watching the ducks, the river, and the wildlife along the river bank. Evy sold us our tickets. She loved Jasper and went out of her way to help us, even selling us our tickets before she was fully set up. She was great. The Bavarian Belle is a dog friendly operation. We sat outside up front. The crew warned us before they sounded the whistle and we stepped inside for a minute and covered Jasper's ears. Pictures form this trip will end up on one of Jasper's children's books sometime in the near future. It was fun.See more..

We did the wine and chocolate tasting cruise during our cousin trip and it was amazing. Captain Jack and Maria were so much fun. The entire staff was really super friendly and it’s obviously that they love their jobs. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a smaller, more intimate experience where you feel like you are with spending a leisurely hour with good friends and not packed like sardines on a tour boat.See more..
The Toonerville Trolley and Tahquamenon Falls Riverboat Tour to the falls was a beautiful and relaxing way to spend our day. First, the approximately 35 minute train ride through forest and bog habitat yielded cranes, eagles, and numerous other birds (not lucky enough to see a bear...). The two hour boat ride to the falls also provided amazing scenery. We had burgers from their on-board grill and were pleasantly surprised. They allowed approximately one hour 15 minutes to hike to the falls; this allowed us plenty of time to hike to both the upper and lower (much prettier) view of the upper falls. The return boat and train rides were also enjoyable. The captain's commentary was spot-on the entire boat trip; we learned so many fun and interesting things. We would do this tour again in a heartbeat.See more..

We enjoyed the sunset cruise aboard the Emita II on June 8. Everything from the harbor, parking, crew, live music, bar, ship, siteseeing, and sunset was 5 stars. We will definitely be back and will recommend to others! We have also rented jet skis from the MC location in the past and had a very positive experience. Keep in mind that the lake conditions can change in an instant and the waves can be very dangerous. We had them for 2 hours and while the lake stated out smooth, it was very choppy on the way back in.See more..

This is the Bay City Boat Lines tours out on the Saginaw River. We liked it so much that we did it twice over two days. The ship was roomy and CoVid19 procedures were followed. The guide was knowledgeable and sights were impressive. Pleasant time on a boat that is so popular that crowd funding earned its year’s expenditures so the trip was free too. Our Johnny Panther experience was absolutely amazing! My family and I had planned a weekend in Frankenmuth and wanted to schedule some time to enjoy nature. After some searching on Google, I found the Johnny Panther Frankenmuth River tour and scheduled it. The next day, Wil called me and, after about five minutes, convinced me to book the Michigan Everglades tour in Saginaw instead and, boy, was I glad he did! Within minutes of launching the boat we were exploring areas of Michigan we never thought existed! This tour is aptly named because once you’re in the thick of the wildlife refuge, you could very easily convince yourself that you’re in Florida. I picked up some Groupons for the Diamond Jack tours for something different with family that was in from out of town. I just want to say it was a wonderful time. I plan on going again later this summer, paying the full price, because it was well worth the money and time. The staff was very pleasant. The info given during the tour was interesting. Chose Captains Boarding and was able to get on board and pick a spot to sit and enjoy the view. It was Havana Night, some folks dresses up in theme, everyone was dressed very nice. Food was amazing and the staff was TOP NOTCH!! Very professional and polite. The staff did a group impromptu dance on the top deck and the guests joined in. Drinks flowed freely. My husband and I take this lunch cruise every summer and we love it. It is so relaxing sitting on this boat peering into the hundreds of backyards that back onto the Clinton River and seeing the other boats and wildlife - lots of turtles and birds. And the lunch is very good as well.See more..

Boat Tours This trip is practically in our backyard and yet no one I knew had ever been on it. So, I arranged a private tour on a Monday (we needed a minimum of 25 people), and we had 35 all told. It was a lovely afternoon/evening, crossing from Au Gres to and from Charity Island. The owners are VERY knowledgeable of the history of the island and have given their time exclusively to make this trip an interesting one. The meal was outstanding, and you have your choice of fresh lake perch or beef tips with lots of yummy trimmings. Both were excellent. Beer and wine available to purchase on the island, and you are allowed to BYOB on the boat, but you cannot take it off the boat. They provide water and soft drinks on the boat, as well as cheese & crackers on the way over, and a desert on the return trip. Reservations are recommended for the weekends (Fri, Sat & Sun).
