Enjoy Lake Huron, explore the lighthouse and have a wonderful dinner.
This trip is practically in our backyard and yet no one I knew had ever been on it. So, I arranged a private tour on a Monday (we needed a minimum of 25 people), and we had 35 all told. It was a lovely afternoon/evening, crossing from Au Gres to and from Charity Island. The owners are VERY knowledgeable of the history of the island and have given their time exclusively to make this trip an interesting one. The meal was outstanding, and you have your choice of fresh lake perch or beef tips with lots of yummy trimmings. Both were excellent. Beer and wine available to purchase on the island, and you are allowed to BYOB on the boat, but you cannot take it off the boat. They provide water and soft drinks on the boat, as well as cheese & crackers on the way over, and a desert on the return trip. Reservations are recommended for the weekends (Fri, Sat & Sun). Hope to go again sometime in the future. No credit cards accepted, check or cash only.

Great evening Saginaw bay
Boat ride from Au Gres/Tawas or Caseville. Short walk through woods on mostly wildlife refuge island to lighthouse area for wonderful dinner. Steak tips or perch. Food is very very good. Great views on island and on boat. Return at sunset. Tours of renovated lighthouse keeper house. A must if you are in area.

Disappointed
My wife and I called the number on the web site several times. And left messages per the recording. No one called us back. So we decided to find the office and hopefully get on the boat. The lady told my wife the boat left early cause of sunset time.my wife showed the web site to the lady and the lady said no one mand the phone number on the web site. And handed her a peace of paper with a different number on it. Maybe you need to up date your web page. We really wanted to do this tour. Unfortunately someone has no ideal how to run a business. Very unprofessional.
