Beautiful & Relaxing Day
The Toonerville Trolley and Tahquamenon Falls Riverboat Tour to the falls was a beautiful and relaxing way to spend our day. First, the approximately 35 minute train ride through forest and bog habitat yielded cranes, eagles, and numerous other birds (not lucky enough to see a bear...). The two hour boat ride to the falls also provided amazing scenery. We had burgers from their on-board grill and were pleasantly surprised. They allowed approximately one hour 15 minutes to hike to the falls; this allowed us plenty of time to hike to both the upper and lower (much prettier) view of the upper falls. The return boat and train rides were also enjoyable. The captain's commentary was spot-on the entire boat trip; we learned so many fun and interesting things. We would do this tour again in a heartbeat.

Would recommend 10 out of 10!!
I have been seeing their brochures since I was a kid. Today at 43 years old, me and my family finally went on the toonerville trolly and Tahquamenon river boat. (9/3/22). Every single one of the staff was more than friendly. They were all so nice and so helpful. We had a WONDERFUL time! It exceeded my expectations!! Even the captain of the boat who happened to be the owner was super friendly and helpful. You can just tell the employees actually enjoy their jobs. 10 out of 10 for me! Would definitely do again. Only advice I would give to people is to bring a coat or sweatshirt unless the temp is over 70°. Maybe even 75°. We got really cold on our way there, but you can always go downstairs inside, or get this. They sell blankets on the boat for a very reasonable price! The food was also good and very reasonably priced! I just can’t say enough good things about this experience! Thank you to the toonerville trolly/Tahquamenon river boat staff for making this a great day!

The staff are absolutely amazing and kind
The staff make this experience! Unfortunately we felt like it was too long of a trip for our family but they do a great job teaching you about the Upper Peninsula and the area wildlife, trees, etc. From the time we got on the train until we returned to our car was 7 hours and my teens were tired of being on the riverboat after the first leg of the journey. It was nice to feel like we were on a floating restaurant with reasonable prices, but it was just too long for us. I was excited to get a view of the falls from two private viewing platforms but unfortunately I think the view from "the other side"(public side) is much better. I will attach the best pictures we got of the falls and you can decide.
