Frankenmuth Visitor & Welcome Center image
Read online to go to the visitors center and get a coupon book before you start your shopping ~ eating experience in Frankenmuth, there are alot of coupons in the book but on alot of them you have to spend $50 plus to use them or get a free gift. The coupons are for shopping, eating and things to do. There is also a knome hunt you can participate in, you have to find 10 knomes around the shops write down their names and where you found take your paper back to visitors center and win a prize, some are super hard to find in the larger stores as some are big some are very small some are huge, but it was fun especially if you have kids they have fun finding them. The ladies in the center were very nice and the place is super clean, outside they have benches and tables you can sit and rest if you are tired from walking. Worth the stop to get coupon book See more..

  3. 4.0 Windigo Visitor Center (27 reviews)
    - Unique Experience
    Visitor Centers
    Windigo Visitor Center image
Everything about this park and the visitor center at this end of the island is a unique experience. The trails are filled with lush plant and animal life...you never know what is waiting for you around any bend. The quiet lapping of lake water against the rocky shoreline or the trickling of slow flowing creeks combining with the many bird songs to form a musical backdrop on any hike. The different aromas put out by various plants at different times of year. Maybe most unique is the general feeling of being cut off from the rest of the world. I loved my time on Isle Royale, and I particularly enjoy this end of the island because it is the "wild side" of the island. The staff at the Windigo Visitor Center could not be more helpful and eager to make your visit the best it can be. Make sure you stop in to get suggestions from the rangers. See more..
